African Ports Evolution 2017

African Ports Evolution

African Ports Evolution

Africa is experiencing greater regional integration as trade and transport shifts from overseas partners to regional partners. International trade volumes are also increasing at growth rates of 6-8% per year with higher growth rates for container traffic. The 2040 Vision for Africa’s transport sector is an integrated African continent where the transport infrastructure and services enable the free movement of goods and passengers by providing efficient, safe, secure, reliable and seamless transport options and reducing costs to support environmentally and economically sustainable regional development. AFRICAN PORTS EVOLUTION is a forum where we bring together key maritime stakeholders, so that together we can realise this transport vision.

AFRICAN PORTS EVOLUTION summit and expo fosters interaction between government and the private sector to enhance intra-African and cross border trade, through increased port efficiency, hinterland connectivity and trade corridors. With three co-located events included in this year’s AFRICAN PORTS EVOLUTION, you will benefit from the opportunities of interconnectivity of port and rail development, infrastructure development and economic growth through export.

SHOWCASE TECHNOLOGIES AND EXPERTISE TO REVOLUTIONISE AFRICA’S PORTS AND TERMINALS
