The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited the sealed Tenders (Single Stage-Two Cover System) for the work of “Acquiring and Issuance of Open Loop National Common Mobility Card for Bangalore Metro Rail Project.

The selected Financial Institution shall accept and process NCMC transactions at all terminals across the Green line and Purple line in phase I, and Extension lines (East Extension of Reach-1, West Extension of Reach-2, North Extension of Reach-3B, and South Extension of Reach-4A) and new line Reach-5 of Phase-II project.

The Tenderer will be required to carry out all activities and perform roles and responsibilities to meet the objective of the Open Loop NCMC Card based fare collection System. It is the responsibility of Tenderer to abide by all RBI mandated guidelines apart from any other regulatory guidelines if any, over and above the terms and conditions of this tender. The Tenderer shall provide the facilities for acquiring of digital fare collection at BMRCL stations for AFC based ticketing transactions done using NCMC cards issued by any Bank.

The Phase-II AFC system has been envisaged to support open loop NCMC. The phase-II AFC system is currently under implementation. Since existing AFC system in Phase-I does not support NCMC, the upgradation of phase-I AFC system has also been planned to be implemented by BMRCL. For seamless travel during transition period, the Phase-II AFC System shall also support the closed loop cards being used currently.
