Mumbai-Ahmedabad HSR Update: Four Bullet Train stations to have theme symbolic to their city

New Delhi: 4 out of 12 stations of the India’s first ‘Bullet Train‘ corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will have a theme which will be symbolic to their respective city, according to National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).

  • “Each and every station of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor has been chosen after great research on geographical, economical infrastructural, cultural and various other factors,” according to the NHSRCL’s another tweet.
  • On May 03, 33 NHSRCL employees from Project Offices in Mumbai, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat & Delhi were felicitated & given certificates from the Japan Foundation for successfully completing the Japanese Language and culture learning training programme.
  • NHSRCL is implementing the project of high speed train corridor between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
  • The total length of proposed High Speed Rail Corridor works out to be 508.17km.
  • The route of Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail will be passing through two states, Maharashtra and Gujarat and one Union Territory, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, of the Union of India.
  • The High Speed Rail Corridor has been proposed with 12 Stations i.e. Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadia, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
  • The target for the completion of bullet train corridor is August 2022.

Ircon invites EoI from Indian and Japanese companies for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail’s packages

New Delhi: The Ircon International Limited has invited EoI (Expressions of Interest) from Indian and Japanese companies for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail’s packages. The EoIs have been called from the companies having experience in construction of Metro Railway/Railway Bridges and Viaducts.

  • Name Of Work: Expression of Interest from Indian and Japanese Companies having Experience in construction of Metro Railway/Railway Bridges and Viaducts are invited to Associate for bidding for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail’s packages
  • Submission Date: 30/04/2019:11:00 hrs.
  • Opening Date: 01/05/2019:11:00 hrs.

  • Meanwhile, the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) has also invited bids for Tunnelling Works on Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project.
  • The scope of work include testing and commissioning for double line high-speed railway using tunnel boring machine (TBM) and new Austrian tunneling method (NATM) between Mumbai underground station at Bandra-Kurla Complex (MAHSR 0.773 km) and Shilphata (MAHSR 21.150 km) in Maharashtra for the project for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail.
  • The work is expected to be completed in a period of 42 months.
  • NHSRCL is implementing the project of high speed train corridor between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
  • The total length of proposed High Speed Rail Corridor works out to be 508.17km.
  • The route of Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail will be passing through two states, Maharashtra and Gujarat and one Union Territory, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, of the Union of India.
  • It shall start from Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai and will end near Sabarmati Railway Station in Ahmedabad.
  • Out of 508.17km, 155.642 km of the proposed alignment falls in Maharashtra, 350.530 km in Gujarat and 2 km in UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
  • The High Speed Rail Corridor has been proposed with 12 Stations i.e. Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand/Nadia, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
