Ltd. to prepare a feasibility study report for the extension of metro corridor approx. 52.41 Km from Madavara (BIEC) to Tumakuru.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has awarded a contract to M/s Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. to prepare a feasibility study report for the extension of the metro line from Madavara (BIEC) to Tumakuru, spanning approximately 52.41 km. This project aims to evaluate the potential for expanding the metro network, enhancing urban mobility, and accommodating the growing transportation needs of the region.

Some Recent Feat for Bangalore Metro:
In June: Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), the prominent Indian rolling stock manufacturer, commenced the production of train sets as part of a contract with China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) for the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited’s (BMRCL) Phase 2, Yellow Line project.
In June: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) awarded a contract to KEC International for Setting up of power supply system, including receiving substation, high voltage cabling and associated civil works.
Operational Line of BMRCL:
- The Phase-1 of the project which is already under operation consists of 42.3 km with 40 stations.
- The East-West Corridor is for a length of 18.2 km and North-South Corridor is for a length of 24.1 Km.
- Both the corridors include an underground section of total length 8.80 Km and has seven stations including the interchange station at Majestic.
Operational and Under Construction Lines:
- The Phase-2 of Bangalore Metro Rail Project consists of Four Extensions to the existing lines and Two New Lines with a total length of 72.095 km with 61 stations (49 Elevated and 12 Underground) of which 27.36 Km is under operation and balance is under construction.
Under Construction Lines:
- The Phase-2A of Bangalore Metro Rail Project i.e. ORR line with a total length of 19.75 km with 13 Elevated stations and Phase -2B i.e. Airport line with a total length of 38.44 km with 17 Elevated stations is under construction.
The award of the above contract to M/s Aarvee Associates showcases the agency with which Bangalore Metro is working for the expansion of its metro network in a systematic manner in order to ensure the availability of quality and modern transportation facilities for the people in line with the new and dynamic needs of the fast-developing city.
