Bangalore Metro Update: Tenders invited for the work of design, manufacture and commissioning of Escalators for underground stations of phase-II

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., (BMRCL) a Joint Venture of Government of Karnataka and Government of India, invites open Bid through National Competitive Bidding (Single Stage – Two Envelope System) from eligible, reputed and experienced Consultants (JV/Consortium Not Permitted) for Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Escalators for UnderGround Stations of Reach-6 under Phase-II.

General:

The General Scope of the work is provided in Instructions to the Tenderers (ITT) and the detailed description of the work is provided in Employer’s Requirement. Only ‘Class-I Local Tenderers’, ‘Class-II Local Tenderers’, and Indian firms having a Transfer of Technology Agreement with the foreign firm as defined under ITT A 4.3 shall be eligible to bid. Preference to the ‘Class-I Local Tenderer who meets the minimum Local Content as defined in ITT clause E5.5 shall be given.

Note:

  • Tenders will be opened in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend on the date & time as mentioned in ‘Key Details’ of Tender Notification at the office of Managing Director, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, Ill Floor, BMTC Complex, K.H. Road, Shanthinagar, Bangalore, 560 027, Karnataka, India.
  • Late Tenders received after stipulated time of submission of Tender on the specified date, shall not be accepted under any circumstances.
  • Tenders shall be valid for a period of 180 days from the last date for submission of Tenders and shall be accompanied with a Tender Guarantee of the requisite amount in the form of a Bank Guarantee as per ITT Clause C17.
  • A firm after purchase of the Tender documents in their name can submit the Tender in their name only, either as an individual firm or as a Joint Venture/Consortium.
  • The Contract shall be governed by the documents listed under ‘Contract Agreement’ of ‘Schedules to Special Col iditior is of Contract In Section VII.
  • All Tenderers are requested to note that only HARD COPY of Tender Proposals duly signed and stamped along with the other Qualifying documents should be submitted by ‘Speed poet’  or ‘in person’ at the place, date and time as mentioned in the ‘Key Details’ of Tender Notification.
  • Tenderers are advised to note the instructions contained in ‘Instructions to Tenderers (ITT)’, ‘Eligibility and Qualification Criteria (EQC)’ and ‘Form of Tender (FOT)’ prescribed in the Tender documents. The Tenderer shall have to fulfill the minimum requirements specified in CQC and ‘QualifiedLiu!! Cum Technical Criteria’ indicated in the Tender !document.
  • Preference to the ‘Class-I Local Tenderer’ who meets the minimum Local content as defined in ITT E5.6 shall be given The ‘Margin of Purchase Preference’ shall be as dotailod under ITT Clause E5.5.
  • All Tenderers are hereby cautioned that the Tenders containing any deviation from Contractual terms and Conditions, Specifications and other requirements, save as provided for in “Instructions to Tenderers” and/or minor deviations shall include tho coat for withdrawal of deviations as specified in ITT clause C2.3.2.

About BMRCL:

  • The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited is a joint venture enterprise of Government of India and Government of Karnataka, entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail project.
  • The Phase-1 of the project which is already under operation consists of 42.3 km with 40 stations. The East West Corridor is for a length of 18.2 km and North South Corridor is for a length of 24.1 Km. The underground section, which is 8.80 km in length, has seven stations including the interchange station at Majestic.
  • The Phase-2 of Bangalore Metro Rail Project consists of Four Extensions to the existing lines and Two New Lines with a total length of 72.095 km with 61 stations (49 Elevated and 12 Underground).
