Non-Fare Revenue:

  • Central Railway’s performance in FY 2022-23 (April to October) has been impressive with a record revenue of ₹39.45 crore in Non-Fare Revenue as compared to ₹12.16 crore during the corresponding period last year, showing an enormous increase of 224%.

Major Contracts awarded in October 2022:

  • Contracts consisting of 2 trains (12126/25 & 10039/40- 5 rakes) by Pune Division for external vinyl wrapping with earnings of ₹25.07 lakh per annum for 3 years.
  • Contract consisting of o­ne train (12125/26) by Pune Division for internal advertisement with earnings of ₹2.02 lakh per annum for 3 years.
  • Contract consisting of internal advertisement o­n train No 12120 Ajni-Amravati express by Nagpur Division with earnings of ₹3.94 lakh per annum for 3 years.
  • 10 Rail Display Network (RDN) contracts through e-auction with earnings of ₹83.78 lakh per annum.

Non-Fare Revenue Contracts in final stage:

  • 3 Personal Care Centres (PCC) at Dadar, Thane and Kalyan for 5 years with combined annual earnings of ₹17.73 lakh.
  • POD hotel at Nasik Road for 5 years with annual earnings of ₹6.57 lakh.
  • Setting up a medicine outlet at Pune station for 5 years with annual earnings of ₹6.93 lakh etc.

Parcel Revenue:

  • Central Railway also registered significant revenue of ₹150.87 crore through transportation of 3.01 lakh tonnes of Parcel & Luggage in FY 2022-23 (April to October) out of which ₹21.72 crore was registered in the month of October 2022.
  • In the FY 2022-23 (till October), 150 trips of time-tabled parcel trains generated a revenue of ₹10.75 crore and 20 Indent Parcel Cargo Express Trains generated a revenue of ₹4.10 crore.
  • Presently 93 General Second Class cum Luggage Vans (SLR coaches) and 15 Parcel Vans (VP) are o­n lease, out of which 26 SLRs and o­ne VP have been leased out through e-auction recently.
