Jindal aluminum Ltd (JAL) has pioneered the aluminum extrusion Industry in India. Established in 1968 in Bangalore, we are today the largest extrusion company in the country with 11 extrusion presses and installed capacity of 1,20,000 MT per annum. Started with a humble beginning with one 1500 tonne extrusion press 49 years back, we are the market leader today having produced more than 92,000 MT of aluminum extrusion last year which caters to 25% of the country’s extrusion demand and also exports to more than 32 countries across the globe. In addition, we produced 35, 000 MT of rolled products and foils also last year which made us second largest producer of flat rolled products in the country.

Extrusion Division:
The 11 extrusion presses are of different capacities; the smallest being 750 tons and largest one is of 4,000 tons. With such a wide range of extrusion presses the company can produce extrusion of diameter as low as 5 mm and as big as 300 mm which can go up to 450 mm width depending on profile design. Such a wide range of production lines equipped to extrude all sizes and in all kinds of hard alloys such as 6005, 6082, 6061, 6262, 3003, 3004, 2014, 2024, and 7075 is what has taken the company to a higher level.
With almost 11000 profiles in its die library, we have developed profiles catering to almost all segments which are known to be consuming aluminum extrusions. Be it building and architectural, industrial automation, electrical & electronics, solar & wind energy, transportation and automobile, or profile related to Defense and Aerospace.
With many first to its credit, the company has been the first Indian aluminum extrusion company to have been awarded Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) certification and also ISO 9002 certification. Currently revalidated as per IS/ISO 9001:2015. Jindal is also the only company in the country to have been certified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for marine applications.
The company is also the recipient of Star Performer Award under Large Enterprise (Aluminium and Articles thereof) category by Engineering Export Promotion Council for 11 consecutive years in a row.

Having established a dominant place in extrusion, we diversified in the manufacture of Aluminium Rolled Products in 2012 and established a technologically advanced Rolling Mill Division equipped with state of the art machinery imported from Germany, Sweden, Japan and China for the manufacture of rolling sheets in various alloys with an installed capacity of 40000 MT p.a. The Rolled product unit manufactures sheets, coils and chequered sheets under 5 mm thickness in various alloys with most modern equipment to meet stringent quality requirements of customers. It has also installed multi slitting facility to produce thin strips. The range of strip thickness produced is 0.20 mm to 1.00 mm where the finish strip width will be 10 mm and above as per market requirement.
The company exports around 25% of its production of aluminum rolled products to various countries, mainly to UK, US, Canada, Australia and Middle East.
The products cater to various segments like Industrial components, Insulation, Cladding, Facades, Bus Body building, Fan blades, Roofing sheets, Solar panels, Closure stock, Pharmaceuticals, Food Packaging, FMCG products and others.
