Additional Amenities at Metro Stations for the benefit of Chennai Metro Rail Passengers.
More details:
- CMRL has been witnessing a steep increase in its passenger flow with 1,85,000 passengers in order to cater to the ever growing passenger demand at the Metro Stations.
Additional Escalator at Airport Metro Station:
- A total of 41 additional escalators will be installed at select Metro Stations and preparatory work in progress to facilitate smooth movement for passengers.
- To facilitate Metro commuters travelling to Airport Metro Station, two additional escalators have been opened on 30th July, 2022.
- The facilities were opened by Thiru. Rajesh Chaturvedi (Systems and Operations) CMRL in the presence of AGMs S.K. Madhavan (Lift and Escalator), S. Sateesh Prabhu (Rolling Stock and Operations), Managers P. Lakshmi (Revenue), T. Soundar (Lift and Escalator), and K.S. Arun (Operations), Deputy Manager A. Arulradha (Operations) and Staff of CMRL.
