Rolling stock Overhauling Services – Technical:
The Technical side of Rolling stock Overhauling Services involves the following activities:
- Preparation of train allocated by CMRL for overhauling by covering the floor, removing the panel covers, loosening of fasteners, etc., as required.
- Removal of sub-system parts required to be overhauled or replaced.
- Preparation of Spares such as motors, bogies, batteries, etc., required for train overhauling by overhauling/ re-conditioning them.
- Testing of Overhauled Spares before fixing them in train.
- Replacement or Re-fixing of overhauled spares in train as per stipulated procedure.
- Checking the Pneumatic tightness of Brake cylinders, Bogies and as well as train.
- Adjustment of Floor height as per standards after completion of overhauling.
- Thorough inspection of the whole train and attending the rework of open points.
- Functionality check of sub-systems and train.
- Conducting dynamic tests in Depot test track for any abnormality.
- Dynamic testing in mainline for at least 200KMs for any abnormality.
- Requesting, Receiving and Returning the spares to CMRL stores before and after overhauling.
- Management of Consumables, Hand tools and special tools required for day to day activities in overhauling.
- Documenting all the activities which were done during overhauling.
- Recording all the activities, readings/measurements taken and all the materials transactions during overhauling in E2M application software.
- Submitting progress reports on weekly basis and after completing each train.
Rolling stock Overhauling Services – Non-Technical:
The Non-Technical side of Rolling stock Overhauling Services includes the following activities:
- Heavy Cleaning of Exterior side walls with prescribed chemical solvents.
- Heavy Cleaning of Roof corrugated sheets with prescribed chemical solvents.
- Cleaning of Rain gutters, Front Cab Masks, Spoilers, etc.
- Cleaning & Polishing of Gangway corrugated bellows, Secondary suspension, and other rubber parts.
- Cleaning & Polishing of Door Leaves.
- Cleaning of Windshields, Sunscreens, Luggage rack glasses, Drought glasses, Window glasses and other glass parts.
- Cleaning of FRP panels, HVAC & Light Diffusers.
- Removal of HVAC Duct panels and Cleaning of HVAC Ducts throughout the train including cab.
- Removal of Grab handles and Cleaning of Grab handles, Grab poles & Quadrupoles.
- Re-Fixing of all panels and parts removed for Cleaning.
- All Seat fabrics shampooing.
- Heavy Cleaning & Stains removal of Interior Floor with prescribed Chemicals.
- Application of Protective floor coating in interior.
- Cleaning of all electrical cubicles.
- Car body Underframe cleaning.
- Rust removal & re-painting of rusted parts.
- Cleaning of Bogie & Sub-parts.
- Cleaning of other required Train Spares.
- Removal & Replacement of Complete Exterior Signage.
- Removal & Replacement of damaged Interior Signage.
