Delhi Metro and Konkan Railway sign MoU to participate in metro rail projects

In a collaborative effort to further strengthen metro projects, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Konkan Railway Corporation Limited have forged strategic partnership through signing of MoU for upcoming metro rail projects in India and abroad.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on upcoming metro rail projects in India and abroad. The agreement designates both organisations as project service providers for a wide range of infrastructure projects including Metro/Railways, High-Speed Rail, Highways, Mega-Bridges, Tunnels, Institutional Buildings, Workshops or Depots, Signalling and Telecommunication (S&T) works, and Railway Electrification.

Objective:

  • This strategic partnership aims to utilise expertise of both DMRC and KRCL to foster collaboration on a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • The collaboration between DMRC and KRCL will help the organisations to work together to develop new projects and share expertise in the future.

The MoU was officially signed by Dr. P.K Garg, Director (Business Development), DMRC and Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman and Managing Director, KRCL.

Conclusion:

The partnership between DMRC and KRCL marks a significant development in the Indian Metro rail Landscape. It will not only synthesise the expertise of both the Corporations into the execution of complex and futuristic Metro Projects but also will set an example for others to collaborate with each other in order to set new benchmarks in the development of high quality Metro infrastructure.
