
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has awarded a significant Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to M/s CJ DARCL Logistics Ltd. This contract involves the transportation of Grade Head Hardened Rails from the manufacturer’s plant to the DMRC store. This crucial step ensures the timely and efficient delivery of essential materials, supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the Delhi Metro network.

Scope of Work for the Contractor:
- Loading, Transportation, Unloading and Stacking of UIC-60/60 E1, 1080 Grade HH Rails (18m Long) as per RDSO guidelines from Manufacturer’s Plant at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh to DMRC at Delhi with contractor’s tools, equipment, machineries & materials, including all taxes etc. and complete the work in all respect as directed by the Engineer/DMRC.
- The rail shall be stacked as per RDSO guideline at DMRC’s Stores at Delhi.
- The stacking bed / Levelled surface shall be prepared by DMRC, however, materials for stacking as per the specifications will be required to be arranged by the contractor himself.
- All taxes, expenditures, if any, for completing the work in all respects shall be borne by the contractor and nothing will be paid extra by DMRC.
- The Contractor shall work out the requirement of manpower and machineries coping with the scope of work to be completed within the targeted period and accordingly ensure deployment of those manpower and machineries.
- The Contractor(s) is expected to use the latest technology and machinery and achieve the most efficient and best quality work.
- Storage/stacking of material shall be done on ground as per RDSO approved methodology.
- It shall contain briefs on all Safety and Traffic measures to be considered while transportation of materials.
- All Local Police/Traffic department permissions shall be taken before movement of materials from Plant. Engineer/DMRC may assist in providing letters to various departments based on Contractors request.
- Contractor should have proper security arrangement against loss or damage to the Consignment during unloading of Materials from Trailers, handling of materials at Plant, transportation to/from Plant/godowns, stacking/destacking at godowns/Site/Store, bulking, loading and unloading at various points.
- Cranes, Trailers and other Equipments used for Transportation shall be in good working condition and shall have necessary Driving/Safety clearances.
- Drivers/Operators shall have valid Licences. Slings used for loading/unloading activities shall be duly certified.
- It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to make all arrangements like providing adequate labour and other necessary Machinery & equipment, required for unloading & transportation of the material.
- Contractor shall be responsible for proper handling, for taking all precautions and security arrangements against loss or damage to the materials.
- The Contractor shall accept full responsibility for any act of theft, burglary, criminal misappropriation and breach of trust in respect of materials entrusted to the Contractor.
- For non-delivery or short delivery of the consignments, Engineer/DMRC shall reserve the right to impose penalty at the rate to be determined by it from time to time in addition to recovering the cost of the material.
- Such determination of penalty by Engineer/DMRC shall be final and binding on the Contractor.
- It shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor to protect the materials from damages, during transportation, stocking and unloading from the Plant.
- The Contractor shall maintain a proper account of quantity unloaded. Proper security should be maintained by the Contractor from the time of receipt of material.
