DFCCIL invites tender for supply of Gauge Machine for BG Railway Track for DDU-Sonennagar section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has invited open E-Tender on Two packet systems on the prescribed forms for the under noted work.

  • Name of the work: Supply and Stacking of 70,000 cum 65 mm gauge machine crushed track ballast conforming to RDSO Specification IRS-GE-1 June 2016 (as updated) for BG Railway Track for Japla Siding and loading into BOBYN/Open Wagons and unloading the same on DFCCIL track in DDU-Sonennagar Section of EDFC.

Scope of Work:

  • EDFC alignment is passing parallel to Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (Mughalsarai) -Sonnagar section of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay (erstwhile Mughalsarai) Division of  East Central Railway.
  • DFC tracks are connecting at East Receiving Cabin (ERC) of Pt Deen Dayal  Upadhyay (DDU) Yard of East CentralRailway and at Chirailapathu (CPBH)  /Bagabishunpur (BCJ) Yards.
  • The DFC tracks between DDU-ERC and CPBH yards are ready and requires ballasting to recoup deficiency of ballast.   
  • Accordingly, DFCCIL intends to carry out ballasting of this section by taking supply  of ballast from nearby ballast quarry, transporting it through BOBYN / other railway  wagons and unloading it in the section on Item-Rate basis through this tender.

Following broad activities are required to be undertaken though this tender:

  • Supply and stacking of machine crushed stone ballast as per RDSO  Specification at nominated ballast siding.
  • Loading of stacked ballast in Railway wagons by mechanical means.
  • Unloading of ballast on DFC tracks under traffic block.

The scope of work shall include but not limited to:

  • Manufacturing, supply and stacking of track ballast as per RDSO standard  specification at nominated ballast siding. 
  • The nominated ballast siding is Japla in EC Railway in Jharkand State. However, in case of any difficulty at Japla siding beyond control of parties, the contractor may be asked to supply and stack the ballast at any other  ballast siding, for example Pakur Railway Ballast siding. The contractor to make arrangements for supply and loading at no extra cost.
  • Making indent with Railway Authority for placement of BOBYN/Open Rake  for loading of ballast.
  • Loading of stacked ballast in Railway wagons at nominated ballast siding
  • Unloading of ballast over DFC track underpower/traffic block at nominated locations.
  • Spreading of ballast unloaded in the section. 
  • Temporary Works: Making any temporary work to facilitate the work and  for the purpose of arranging any temporary land for the working or stacking of materials of contractor at no extra cost.
  • Incidental Works: Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) compliances,  Quality Assurance,Interface Management with other contractor, Restoration  of existing roads and services other than being relocated / dislocated on account of DFC alignment during the work, management of road traffic around the worksite at no extra cost.
  • Obtaining relevant certificates or clearances from local/civil authorities viz. lease, permits, licenses, completion  certificate, mining clearance, fire   clearance or any other mandatory clearances which may be specified by these authorities from time to time.
  • Obtaining permission for Works with or without traffic block from concerned Railway authority/DFCCIL interfacing agencies for work in close vicinity of  Indian Railway track, wherever applicable and DFCC shall assist in obtaining such permits. 
  • Submission of periodical progress reports with site photos and videos,  attending progress review meetings with employer/concerned authorities 
  • Testing as per specification, relevant IS Codes / RDSO standard.
  • Other miscellaneous works as listed in Schedules / GCC/ SCC.
