Background:
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been organizing the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) – Asia’s largest event for the Railway Transportation sector – since 1990, in association with Ministry of Railways, Government of India. Keeping in view the continuous modernization initiatives of Indian Railways to sustain a competitive and safe rail transportation system in the country, and in line with the objectives as laid down by the National Innovations Council (NIC) for Indian Industry, CII and RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organisation) have initiated a platform with exclusive focus on innovations in Indian Railways in 2014.
InnoRail India 2022:
This international exhibition and Conference is the fifth edition. The first edition was in December 2014. The second and third editions were held in 2016 and 2018 respectively. The fourth edition was held in a virtual platform in 2020 due to the pandemic. This new initiative of CII, in association with RDSO, is aimed to provide a neutral platform for all stakeholders of the railway sector to come under one roof for an effective business networking with key people from across the globe. The exhibition will be an ideal platform for the industry to display latest technological advancements, innovations, related products, and technical services, while providing aa opportunity for the Indian Railway units, to showcase their future requirements, visions and innovations. Concurrent events – conference/panel discussions, B2B meetings – will create a forum for exchange of ideas amongst experts in this field.
InnoRail India Objective:
