IRCON International Limited (IRCON in abbreviation), has invited online bids in two packet systems on prescribed forms from bonafide firms/companies having requisite experience and financial capacity for execution of the work detailed in the table given below.

Tender Details:

  • IRCON International Limited intends to appoint the consultant for “Consultancy services for Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR), land acquisition work, Estimating of various items, working out Rehabilitation and resettlement work for connecting Saraipali, Kartali and Vijya west mines (Approximately 24KM) including consultancy services for Forest clearance along with balance work of Junadih Augmentation in connection with Construction of New BG Electrified Double Line in the State of Chhattisgarh Over South East Central Railway Corridor-III: East-West Corridor-Gevra to Pendra Road Via Dipika, Katghora, Sendurgarh and Pasan.”. 
  • IRCON will be the employer and the firm will be the executing agency for the works. The standards of output required from the appointed agency/firm are to be of the international level both in terms of quality and adherence to the agreed time schedule.

Purpose and Area of Study:

  • The purpose of this study is to prepare Detailed Project Report for construction of a Single Rail line between proposed Katghora Station on East-West Corridor of SEC Railway to Saraipali-Kartali Mines and between proposed station at Putipakhana of East West Corridor and Vijya West mines of SECL along with balance work of Augmentation Junadih yard of SECL along with it connectivity to East-West Corridor.

Scope of Work: 

Feasibility Study:

  • To design alternate railway line layouts taking off from proposed Katghora station to Saraipali-Kartali mines of SECL and Putipakhana of East-West Corridor and Vijya West mines of SECL on topo sheets and on Google Earth.
  • To conduct a foot by foot reconnaissance survey with hand held GPS along the proposed alignments, duly checking various geographical features, site constraints such as existing area, existing roads, power lines etc.and to assess modification to the proposed alignment as per site conditions.
  • To study the proposed serving stations, identification of locations for bridges, cross-drainage structures, level crossings / ROB / RUB and marking of high tension/low tension wire and any road crossing etc.
  • To collect GPS coordinates along the proposed / possible alignments and spot levels to establish X, Y, Z co-ordinates along alignment and taking coordinates of stations, yard, as may be required.
  • To prepare the index plan and index section at 200 m intervals based on contour level correlated with site observations.
  • To carry out soil investigation at critical locations to decide preliminary design of foundations, availability of desired soil types for filling.
  • To prepare abstract cost estimates for Earthwork, Bridges,Track, Electrification & Signaling and other miscellaneous Civil works like buildings and roads, protection works etc.
  • To prepare a draft feasibility report (both Engineering and Financial) and submit it to IRCON for approval from CEWRL and other stakeholders.
  • To make presentations,concept drawing setc.,for discussions with SEC Railway and CEWRL and IRCON whenever required to maximum 2 times during the period of study.
  • On receipt of approval from CEWRL and discussions with railways, to submit the Final Feasibility Report to Railways for their ‘in-principle’ acceptance.
  • To obtain approval of Feasibility Report from railway authorities if required.
