Scope of Work:
- Proposed work broadly comprises of but not limited to “Manufacturing and Supply of Elastic Rail Clip MK-V,RDSO Drg.no.5919. As per IRS Specification No.T-31-92 (Corrigendum no.4 of December 2016) with latest amendment upto date of opening of tender for Katni Junction to Singrauli in connection with Katni Singrauli Rail Project WCR.
- The construction work of Rail doubling project from New Katni Jn. to Singrauli (261Km) with electrification and other allied work has been awarded to IRCON International Limited under West Central Railway, Jabalpur.
- There are total 29 stations in between. Station Name in sequence are as under-New Katni Jn, KatangiKhurd, Lakhakhera, Salhana, Pipariyakalan, Khannabanzari, Mahroi, Damoy, Vijaysota, Bara, Chhataini, Beohari, Dubrikalan, Kanchanpur Road, Joba, Marwasgram, Shankarpurbhadura, Niwas road, Bharsendi, Sursaraighatjhara, Saraigram, Gajrabehra, Deoragram, Majhouli, Bargawan, Gondwali, Mahdeiya & Singrauli.
- The scope of work of Manufacture and Supply of Elastic Rail Clip MK-V with Flat Toe for 60 Kg/52Kg Rail conforming to RDSO Drg No. T-5919 with latest alteration if any for Wide Base Sleeper as per BOQ from RDSO approved firms inclusive of transportation, supply, stacking and handing over of all relevant P-Way fittings and materials supplied under BOQ at IRCON‟s store / or as directed by Engineer at work site.
- The supply shall be made as per approved supply program and only after written instruction of Engineer in phase wise as per requirement of work or as per direction of the Engineer.
- The scope of work includes that the contractor will arrange relevant inspection & certification from RDSO/Railway/Consignee as applicable for Supply of ERC MK V for wide base sleeper and materials from RDSO approved firms under BOQ item. No additional payment shall be made to the contractor for inspection & certification by RDSO/Railway/consignee and the rate quoted by the contractor will deemed to be inclusive of all.
- Materials in BOQ supplied will not be accepted without RDSO/Railway/consignee inspection & certification as applicable.
- The scope also includes arranging inspection of concerned IRCON/Railway officials as required.
- Any other work/supply required for completion of the work/supply under this contract as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The details of supply are indicated elsewhere in the tender documents/BOQ. The scope described here is only indicative in nature and shall be deemed as inclusive of all items to be executed for its completion as per Specifications and Drawings.
- Payable items are provided in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and any other enabling / temporary works required to be carried out for the eventful completion of the proposed railway line are deemed to have been included in the rates quoted for the payable items in the BOQ.
- No claims of whatever nature shall be entertained for any item of enabling / temporary works including supply of necessary materials, tools & plants not specifically covered in this scope of work and in the bill of quantities.
- Enabling/ temporary works required but not specifically indicated in the scope above and not covered for payment in the bill of quantities.
- It is expected that the contractor being selected based on the previous experience of executing the similar work/works is well acquainted with the extent of enabling/ temporary works required but not specifically indicated in the scope above and not covered for payment in the bill of quantities.
- The contractor shall work out the requirement of manpower and machineries coping with the scope of work to be completed within the targeted period and accordingly ensure deployment of those manpower and machineries.
- The Contractor(s) is expected to use the latest technology and machinery and achieve the most efficient and best quality finished construction. The tenderers are advised to explore accessibility, availability of approach road, nature of soil, availability of materials, and extent of lead and lift involved in the work, availability of skill and unskilled labours etc. that may be encountered in the course of execution of work.
- As the nature of work warrants ensuring the high level of dimensional precious accuracy along with high control, tenderers should make it a point to understand the work carefully and thoroughly before quoting the rates.
- The contractor shall work out the requirement of manpower and machineries coping with the scope of work to be completed within the targeted period and accordingly ensure deployment of those manpower and machineries.
- The Railway/IRCON reserves the right to get the work executed in the best and most economical manner, and may add or may not operate any item(s) of work(s) as the Railway/IRCON may consider fit.
