Terms of Reference:
- Railway Board advised to Northern Railway to Initiate feasibility-cum-survey report for EI based signalling work along with associated works at adjoining stations/sections at Basi Kiratpur, Bijnor, Haldaur, Chandpur Siau and Mandi Dhanaura of Gajraula (GJL) – Muzzampur Narain (MZM) Section, at Bahjoi, Dhanari, Babrala, Rajghat Narora, Dibai and Atrauli Road of Chandausi (CH) – Harduaganj (HGJ) Section, at Makhi, Safipur, Bangarmau, Mallanwan, Madhoganj, Beniganj, Naimisharanya, Misrikhtirath and Ramkot of Unnao (ON) – Balamau (BLM) – Sitapur (STP) Section.
- Three Express Trains and Three Passenger Trains are plying in Gajraula (GJL) – Muzzampur Narain (MZM) Section, Three Express Trains and Three Passenger Trains are plying in Chandausi (CH) – Harduaganj (HGJ) Section and Three Express Trains
- and Three Passenger Trains are plying in Unnao (ON) – Balamau (BLM) – Sitapur (STP) Section. For seamless operation the above section is required to be modified into EI based signalling with electric point operation.
- The entire section passes through Uttar Pradesh state and is mostly plain. The climatic conditions of the area are moderate, the temperature varying from 04 deg. C to 46 deg. C.
- The period between the middle of June to August is the monsoon season with moderate rainfall. For the purpose of EI design, a maximum temperature of 70 deg. C and a minimum of 4 deg. C are considered consistent with RDSO’s standards.
Background:
- The Gajraula (GJL) – Muzzampur Narain (MZM) Section, Chandausi (CH) – Harduaganj (HGJ) Section and Unnao (ON) – Balamau (BLM) – Sitapur (STP) Section (RE Single line) falls under Moradabad division of Northern Railway.
- At present stations of all three sections, already having MACLS type of signaling system with hand operated points.
