IRCON International Limited, a Government of India Undertaking of Ministry of Railways, has invited bid on prescribed form for CTP-12 for “Track Linking activities (Pre, During and post) with Mechanized track laying works with NTC machine (provided by IRCON) – Assembly, Laying and Linking of BG (1676 mm gauge) main line double track with 60 Kg HH Rails on PSC Sleepers including procurement of P. way materials, spreading of Ircon’s Ballast, carrying out level crossing works, assembly and insertion of turnouts, Track survey works for Dedicated Freight Corridor Project CTP-12 – Section between DFC 176+240 to Ch. 101+ 558 Gholvad to Vaitarana (excluding Crossing stations New Gholvad, New Palghar & New Saphale) in the state of Maharashtra” (Total Length 140.262 TKM) .
- Express Freight Consortium (Consisting of Mitsui & Co., Ircon International Limited & TATA Projects Ltd) have been awarded the work “Design and Construction of Civil, Building and Track Works for double line Railway involving formation in embankments/ cuttings, bridges, structures (excluding civil works for 50 bridges already under execution and 02 bridges across rivers Damanganga and Par and formations in embankments/cuttings and structures in their approaches on both sides), buildings, ballast on formation, track works (including track works on 50 bridges already under execution and on 02 bridges across rivers Damanganga and Par and on formations in embankments/ cuttings and on structures in their approaches on both sides) including Testing and Commissioning on Design-Build Lump sum Price Basis for VAITARANA- SACHIN section of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor phase-II (CTP-12)”, (hereinafter referred to as CTP-12) by Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation India Limited (DFCCIL).
- It has been decided that Ircon International Limited shall execute the work for CTP-12 on behalf of consortium.

Scope of Work:
The scope of work is broadly described as “Track Linking activities (Pre, During and post) with Mechanized track laying works with NTC machine (provided by IRCON) – Assembly, Laying and Linking of BG (1676 mm gauge) main line double track with 60 Kg HH Rails on PSC Sleepers including procurement of P. way materials, spreading of Ircon’s Ballast, carrying out level crossing works, assembly and insertion of turnouts, Track survey works for Dedicated Freight Corridor Project CTP-12 – Section between DFC 176+240 to Ch. 101+ 558 Gholvad to Vaitarana (excluding Crossing stations New Gholvad, New Palghar & New Saphale) in the state of Maharashtra (Total Length 140.262 TKM)” in connection with construction of western dedicated freight corridor phase II Vaitrana Sachin section.
Scope of works is as indicated below but not limited to:
- For mechanized laying of track IRCON will provide NTC machine, Tamping Machine, BRM, UTV, Locomotive and DGS along with operators. Operation and maintenance of these machines along with POL shall be arranged by IRCON.
- Semi skilled manpower for operation, maintenance, Safety & security of these machines shall be provided by contractor.
The broad activities of work are as below but not limited to:
- Loading, Leading, Unloading & spreading of track ballast
- Pulling of Rail Panels 250m long, Laying of New construction track (PSC Sleepers and track) by NTC machine.
- Track Linking using applicators including spacing of sleepers as per DFC requirements.
- Survey Works including pre survey for bottom ballasting, track linking, level and alignment data for tamping machine
- Laying and Assembly of 1in 12, 1in 8.5(Thick web switches and weldable CMS crossing), Trap Point, Switch Expansion joint as per DFC Specification in yards. Also, temporary t/out to be laid in section
- Pre and post tamping works by using IRCON Tamping Machines. IRCON will provide their operator for Machine operation. Agency to provide manpower Semi-Skilled /fitter for working/running & Security of IRCON Machines such as Tamping machine, BRM, UTV, DGS, Locomotives, operation of temporary t/out at depot/section.
- Ancillary works for Conversion of 250m long LWR into CWR by using IRCON’s Flash Butt Machine on Track.
- Providing guard rails and sleepers on PSC girder bridges.
- Removal & Insertion of PSC Sleepers in track as per requirement
- Cess Dressing works on both sides of laid track
- Manufacturing, Supply and Installation of Rubberized Level crossing, Geo-textile, sign boards
- Providing & Fixing of Height Gauge, Track Fence
- Providing caution watchman in Level Crossing gates.
- Anti Corrosive painting of rails
- Manufacturing, Supply and installation of Concrete Paver Blocks
- Supply, Transportation and installation of P-Way material such as ERC, Rubber Pads, Metal Liner, Rail screw, Fish Plate, SEJ with fittings from RDSO approved vendors.
