IRCON invites bids for Track linking works for Broad Gauge track for Katni-Singrauli Rail Doubling Project

Ircon International Limited for and on behalf of West Central Railway, Jabalpur has invited online bids in two packet system for Track linking for BG track (manually) including Supply of all P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms, Linking track at level crossings bridges and Linking Points & X-ings, packing of track as well as Points & X-ings, Carting, loading and unloading 52 Kg/60 Kg Rails and PSC ordinary and special sleepers, Spreading of PSC ordinary and special sleepers and allied all other miscellaneous works in between Vijaysota (VST)- Beohari (BEHR) both station inclusive of Katni – Singrauli Rail Doubling Project (WCR).

Scope of work:

Proposed work broadly comprises of but not limited to civil works/P-way works for “Track linking for BG track (manually) including Supply of all P – Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms, Linking track at level crossings bridges and Linking Points & X – ings, packing of track as well as Points & X – ings, Carting, loading and unloading 52 Kg/60 Kg Rails and PSC ordinary and special sleepers, Spreading of PSC ordinary and special sleepers and allied all other miscellaneous works in between Vijaysota (VST) to Beohari (BEHR) both station inclusive of Katni – Singrauli Rail Doubling Project (WCR). PKG-06.”

  • The scope of work is Track linking for BG track manually including all P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms inclusive of transportation, supply, stacking, Storage in safe custody of all relevant P-Way fittings and materials supplied under BOQ at contractor‟s own store at work site till completion of work.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for safe custody of P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms under BOQ item. Any Loss/damage/theft will be on account of Contractor.
  • The contractor shall return all balance P-Way fittings and materials after completion of work to IRCON before processing of final Bill.
  • The contractor shall work out the requirement of manpower and machineries coping with the scope of work to be completed within the targeted period and accordingly ensure deployment of those manpower and machineries.

Inspection:

  • The scope of work includes that the contractor will arrange relevant inspection & certification from RDSO/RITES as applicable for Supply of all P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms under BOQ item.
  • No additional payment shall be made to the contractor for inspection & certification by RDSO/RITES and the rate quoted by the contractor will deemed to be inclusive of all.
  • P-Way fittings and materials supplied will not be accepted without RDSO/RITES inspection & certification.
  • The scope of work includes Construction, strengthening, extension of existing sub-structures along with construction of new foundation & substructure for major bridges, construction of new /Extension of existing bridges, drains and Retaining walls, etc., in Katni-Singrauli Rail Line Doubling Project as per approved drawings and Specifications.
  • Arranging inspection of concerned IRCON/railway officials as required.

Survey:

  • Based on the approved design and drawing, the contractor will organize surveys and shall re-establish the locations of bridges, center line of track etc.
  • Alignment of proposed rail track also to be marked and maintained by providing reference pillars during execution and till handing over of the site.
  • The Contractor shall organize, conduct & maintain required & Proper quality control test and records for day to day work on regular basis.
  • The contractor shall ensure that the work is executed conforming to the approved design, drawings and specifications.
  • For execution of work the contractor has to follow Safety, Health & Environment Manual of IRCON and the approved quality Assurance Programme.
  • All facilities & equipments required for proper construction & quality control during execution of entire work such as survey instruments including TOTAL STATION, testing equipments, laboratory facilities etc. shall be arranged by the contractor at his own cost.
  • Wherever required, the contractor has to carry out accurate instrumental survey to establish co-ordinate, layout and proper verification system at site.

Manpower and machinery:

  • The contractor shall work out the requirement of manpower and machineries coping with the scope of work to be completed within the targeted period and accordingly ensure deployment of those manpower and machineries.
  • The Contractor(s) is expected to use the latest technology and machinery and achieve a most efficient and best quality finished construction.
  • The tenderers are advised to explore accessibility, availability of approach road, nature of soil, availability of materials, and extent of lead and lift involved in the work, availability of skill and unskilled labours etc. that may be encountered in the course of execution of work.
