Scope of Work:
- Proposed work broadly comprises of but not limited to civil works for Track linking for BG track (manually) including Supply of all P – Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms, Linking track at level crossings bridges and Linking Points & X – ings, packing of track as well as Points & X – ings, Carting, loading and unloading 52 Kg/60 Kg Rails and PSC ordinary and special sleepers, Spreading of PSC ordinary and special sleepers and allied all other miscellaneous works of GNDI & BRGW Station yard in connection with Katni- Singrauli Doubling Project. . for eventful completion.
- The scope of work is Track linking for BG track manually including all P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms inclusive of transportation, supply, stacking, Storage in safe custody of all relevant P-Way fittings and materials supplied under BOQ at contractor’s own store at work site till completion of work. No additional payment shall be made to the contractor on this account and the rate quoted by the contractor will deemed to be inclusive of all. The contractor shall be responsible for safe custody of P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms under BOQ item.
- Any Loss/damage/theft will be on account of Contractor. The contractor must submit reconciliation statement of all relevant P-Way fittings and materials with Running on Account & Final Bill. The contractor shall return all balance P-Way fittings and materials after completion of work to IRCON before processing of final Bill.
- The scope of work is inclusive of any protection work of existing embankment/ structure/Building etc if required to execute the work under scope. No payment shall bemade to the Contractor for any such protection work and rate quoted in Bill of Quantities shall be deemed to include all such costs. The contractor shall work out the requirement of manpower and machineries coping with the scope of work to be completed within the targeted period and accordingly ensure deployment of those manpower and machineries. Certain works has to be carried out during block period. If any delay occurs in arranging block, the contractor shall not claim for any idling of resources on account of delay in arranging block.
- The scope of work includes that the contractor will arrange relevant inspection & certification from RDSO/RITES as applicable for Supply of all P-Way fittings and materials from RDSO approved firms under BOQ item. No additional payment shall be made to the contractor for Track linking work GNDI & BRGW Station yard inspection & certification by RDSO/RITES and the rate quoted by the contractor will deemed to be inclusive of all. P-Way fittings and materials supplied will not be accepted without RDSO/RITES inspection & certification. The scope of work includes Construction, strengthening, extension of existing sub-structures along with construction of new foundation & substructure for major bridges, construction of new /Extension of existing bridges, drains and Retaining walls, etc., in Katni-Singrauli Rail Line Doubling Project as per approved drawings and Specifications.
- Arranging inspection of concerned IRCON/railway officials as required.
- Any other work required for completion of the work under this contract as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. The details of works are indicated elsewhere in the tender documents/drawings. The scope described here is only indicative in nature and shall be deemed as inclusive of all items to be executed for its completion as per Specifications and Drawings.
- Payable items are provided in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and any other enabling / temporary works required to be carried out for the eventful completion of the proposed railway line are deemed to have been included in the rates quoted for the payable items in the BOQ. No claims of whatever nature shall be entertained for any item of enabling / temporary works including supply of necessary materials, tools & plants not specifically covered in this scope of work and in the bill of quantities.
- It is expected that the contractor being selected based on the previous experience of executing the similar work/works is well acquainted with the extent of enabling/ temporary works required but not specifically indicated in the scope above and not covered for payment in the bill of quantities.
- The Contractor will arrange site clearing, required Dismantling, left over utility shifting etc.

- Safety bands, Ribbons and other gadgets for Construction site & workmen shall be maintained as per scheme approved by the engineer. Safety board’s duly written with desired LOGO & safety slogans shall be displayed for information of workers so that they do not enter restricted premises. The quoted rates are deemed to include the cost of all such bands, ribbons, gadgets etc. and nothing extra shall be paid for such items unless provision exits in BOQ.
- Based on the approved design and drawing, the contractor will organize surveys and shall re-establish the locations of bridges, center line of track etc. Alignment of proposed rail track also to be marked and maintained by providing reference pillars during execution and till handing over of the site.
