The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to J.Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. for Design, construction and completion of Underground stations and tunnel from Surat Railway station to Chowk Bazar Ramp worth of Rs 866.00 Crores.

Chowk bazar, Maskati Hospital and Surat Railway Station with entry/exits & connecting subway by Box pushing method and a portion of NATM and Launching and receiving chambers of TBM for Surat Metro Rail Project, Phase-I
- Completion period of Work: 40 Months (3 years 4 months)
In July this year, the GMRC had invited online open e-tenders for the work Contract: GMRC/CONS/UG-2/PKG-CS3/PH-1/2020.

Recently, the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Ltd. has issued Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to Sadbhav Engineering-S.P. Singla Constructions JV for Construction of 11.6 K.M. Elevated Viaduct from Kadarsha Ni Nal to Dream City Dead End Including Ramp for Depot entry near Dream City and 10 Stations (Exel. E&M, Architectural Finishing and Roofing) for Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-1, Package-CS1″ at the total cost of INR 779.73 Crores.
While the GMRC’s cost was Rs 805.15 crore, the company’s bid the project cost at 779.73 crore.
In the JV – Sadbhav Engineering Ltd. (SEL) holds 74% and the remaining 26% held by S.P. Singla Constructions Private Limited (SPSCPL).
Construction period of Metro Rail Project will be 30 months from date of issue of Letter of Acceptance (i.e. 08-01-2021).
In June this year, the GMRC had invited online open e-tenders for the Package-CS1.
