Jakson Ltd JV bags contract for Electrical and Mechanical works for Bangalore Metro’s Phase-2

Joint Venture of Jakson Limited & JSC-PT has bagged a contract from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., (BMRCL) for Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) works for 32 elevated stations at Reach-1 Extension, Reach-3 Extension and Reach-5 new line for phase-II Project of BMRCL.

  • Name of work: Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) works comprising of L.T Panels, L.T Cable distribution, Lighting, Hydraulics ,fire safety systems,UPS,DG sets ,HVAC & BMS for 32 Nos of elevated stations at Reach-1 Extension ,Reach-3 Extension and Reach-5 new line for phase-II Project of BMRCL
  • Awarded Value of Contract: INR 1,715,673,151.23

About the Project:

  • The BMRCL is proceeding with the implementation of Phase-II of the project. 
  • The sanctioned Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Phase-II envisages extension of existing two corridors viz., East-West (Purple line) and North-South (Green Line) Corridors comprising of elevated sections and construction of two new lines Reach-5 (Elevated), Reach-6 (Elevated) and Reach-6 (UG).
  • An elevated new line of about 18.82 km from R V Road to Bommasandra (Reach-5) and about 21.25 km from Gottigere to Nagawara (Reach-6) will be constructed under Phase-II of the project. 
  • Reach-5 is fully elevated with 16 stations and Reach-6 has underground section of approximately 13.75 km with 12 stations and elevated section of about 7.5 km with 6 stations.
