Introduction and Project Overview:
The works to be executed under the Contract include detailed preparation and development of Good for Construction drawings on the basis of drawings supplied and to be approved from Employer. Supply, installation, testing and commissioning include testing, Technical support in taking statutory approvals, preparation of as built drawings.
Any other items/work not included in scope and identified at any stage as “required for successful commissioning of E&M works” shall be deemed to be in scope of contractor. Any cost required for such work shall be dealt as per GCC. Decision of the Engineer shall be final and Binding.
Overview of the Project:
The underground station at Esplanade will be constructed by Cut and Cover Method .The Maidan Market or Dr. B.C. Roy Market is located just in the position of Esplanade Station & it is required to be relocated for construction of the metro Station.
Scope of Works:
- Conduiting, wiring, supply & fixing of modular type switches etc. for lighting
- Conduiting, wiring, supply & fixing of modular type sockets and switches including industrial socket outlets wherever required and as per drawings
- External lighting including its Distribution boards, cabling, poles all complete, High Mast (as applicable)
- Lighting fixture for internal areas (including verification of lux level achievable in various areas) and external areas
- Substation Safety equipment
- HT Switchgear, Auxiliary transformer, LT Switchgear panels including Main Distribution Board, Main Lighting Panel, Essential Power Panel, Fire Pump Panel, Water Pump Panel, Lighting Distribution Boards etc.
- 6.6Kv grade power cable, 1.1 kV grade power and control cables, cable trays, raceways and ducting
- Exhaust fans and ceiling fans
- Ventilation of corridor substation & pump room as required.
- Protective earthing and lightning protection system.
- Cabling, hume pipes, cable termination, RCC trenches, Poles etc. for external lighting
All above installation shall be done as per approved Shop drawings and method statement (Relevant standard) for each activity prepared by contractor prior to procurement and installation.
The above scope of works includes following:
- Contractor has to ensure that design is as per latest specification and guidelines for the works
- Procurement and supply of materials as per BOQ and detailed specifications in Volume-II Bid documents from approved makes meet the project target deadline
- Erection of materials as per best practices and standards
- Interface with civil contractor, E&M Contractor and System Contractors at relevant points
- Deployment of manpower as detailed in subsequent paragraphs
- Any other works not detailed here but required to successfully commission E&M works
The design and construction process for the Metro Rail Project of Kolkata Metro involves multidisciplinary agencies, which shall take up the design and construction of various systems like Civil Works, Track Works, Signalling Works, and Electrical System Works etc. The successful implementation of the Project will require close interaction and co-ordination among the various agencies.
It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to interface with all the agencies involved in the project for the successful completion of all activities assigned to the Contractor. This Chapter brings out briefly areas of interaction and interface required, The Contractor shall bring out detailed interface plans with different contractors during the planning stage so that the problems which could arise during the execution stage are suitably addressed.
However, it shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to maintain a close interface with the other concerned contractors and design consultants, so that the problems anticipated/faced during design/design review, procurement and execution at site are communicated at the appropriate time.
Periodical Interface Meetings shall be coordinated by the Engineer, to arrive at logical and expeditious solutions, to ensure smooth progress of the physical works and realisation of the scheduled dates for completion of Works.
Eligibility:
Minimum average annual construction turnover in equivalent INR 15.63 Crores Calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last three financial years (refer note below the table).
Experience:
Execution as contractor, or as subcontractor, at least one contract that has been successfully or substantially completed within the last ten years before the deadline for submission of the bids, and that is similar to the proposed work.
- The similar work here shall be that which includes following quantity of key activity mentioned below:
- Works of Design, Engineering, Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of E&M works for 02 Large Infrastructure Projects involving public assembly area or
Execution as contractor, or as subcontractor, at least two contracts each of which have been successfully or substantially completed within the last ten years before the deadline for submission of the bids, and that is similar to the proposed work.
- The similar work here shall be that which includes following quantity of key activity mentioned below:
- Works of Design, Engineering, Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of E&M works having at least 1(One) Large Infrastructure Project involving public assembly area.
