Kolkata Metro Update: Co-Branding agreement of Sealdah Metro station signs with DTDC Express Limited

In an endeavour to earn more and more Non Fare Revenue (NFR), Metro Railway/Kolkata has signed an agreement with M/s. DTDC Express Limited, Kolkata for awarding Co-Branding right of Sealdah Metro station of East-West Corridor on 15th June, 2022.

  • Shri Satyaki Nath, Principal Chief Operations Manager graced the event. Shri Kaushik Mitra, Dy. COM(Comml.), Metro Railway and Shri Subhashish Chakraborty, Chairman and Managing Director, DTDC Express Limited signed the agreement at Sealdah Metro Station, which will be inaugurated very soon.
  • Metro Railway has offered 1500 sq feet of spaces for the upcoming Sealdah Metro station to DTDC. DTDC has got the station Co-Branding rights and can add their brand names, logo (prefixed/suffixed) to the station name at all places where the station name is displayed. They can also put their brand logos, colour & names at all the entry & exit gates of the station.

  • DTDC will be able to utilize prime/prominent spaces at the concourse and platform levels, on Platform Screen Doors, pillar wraps, entry/exit gates wherever possible without affecting and infringing existing Railway installations and structures for branding/advertising.
  • Apart from these, DTDC will also enjoy the right of putting their kiosks for promotions/campaigns at the most prominent and exclusive floor spaces at the stations and branding of stations entry/exit structure as well as the inside. This is Metro Railway’s 12th station, which has been co-branded today.
  • This type of innovative venture will fetch substantial Non Fare Revenue for the next three years, which will in turn improve aesthetics of the station also.

On this auspicious occasion, Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Metro Railway, congratulated concerned officers of Traffic Department and said, “It is an appreciable initiative by Metro Railway Kolkata for enhancing Non-Fare Revenue”. “This drive shall further continue unabated” – he added.
