Metro Authority has put in use “Metro Ride Kolkata” app on 05th March, 2022 to enable commuters to recharge their Smart Cards as well as book QR Code Based Tickets from the comforts of their home. This app has already become popular among Metro users.
More details:
- In order to make this app more popular, Metro officers and staff have been conducting training camps at different Metro stations regularly. They are going to different Metro stations and requesting the commuters to use this app.
- On 11.06.2022, two such camps were organised at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Kalighat Metro stations. In these camps commuters were requested to use this app after downloading it from `Google Play Store’. In today’s camps, the procedures of downloading this app and how to use it were explained to the commuters. It is expected that such camps will make this app more popular.
- It is to be noted that this user-friendly app helps to save time as commuters don’t need to stand in long queues in front of the booking counters. This app also enables users to book QR code based tickets or recharge Smart Cards at their convenient time.
