MD of MPMRCL, Shri S. Krishna Chaitanya, IAS, conducts comprehensive inspection of Indore Metro priority corridor

In an ongoing effort to ensure timely execution of the Indore Metro Project, Shri S. Krishna Chaitanya, IAS, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), conducted a thorough inspection of the Indore Metro Priority Corridor.

After recently inspecting the Bhopal Metro project, MD, Shri S. Krishna Chaitanya visited the underground route and took metro ride inspection from SC-03 Station of the Super Priority Corridor of the Indore Metro Project, including the Gandhi Nagar Depot. During his visit, he carried out an in-depth on-site inspection and held a review meeting with all stakeholders involved.

Inspection Highlights:

  • At the site, the Managing Director reviewed several key components constructed for train operations at SC-03, SC-04, SC-05, SC-06, and Gandhi Nagar stations. This included the Station Control Room, Ticket Office Machine Room, Signalling Equipment Room, and Telecom Equipment Room, to assess the latest progress and details.
  • Shri Chaitanya instructed the team to expedite the completion of both civil and system works at all stations. He also emphasised the need to complete all entry and exit points promptly. To facilitate road traffic, he directed the reconstruction of nearby roads affected by construction work and the removal of unnecessary barricades.
  • At the Gandhi Nagar Depot, he discussed the critical role of the depot in metro train operations with senior officials, the General Consultant, and the Contractor. He emphasised the importance of completing the remaining civil and system work at the depot swiftly and also inspected the proposed underground metro route.

Meeting with Stakeholders:

  • Following the on-site inspection, the Managing Director conducted a review meeting with all stakeholders at the Metro office, gathering updates on progress and achievements relative to the project targets.
  • He urged all officials, representatives of the General Consultant, and contractors to contribute their best efforts to advance the metro project, aiming to provide metro facilities to the public as soon as possible.

Conclusion:

During his first inspection of the Indore project, Shri Chaitanya expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and reiterated his commitment to delivering a safe, uninterrupted, and environmentally friendly metro system that meets public expectations.
