MMRDA awards contracts to multiple bidders for enhancing multi-modal connectivity at Mumbai Metro Line 6 stations

Scope of Works for the Contractors:

  • Dedicated Transport Facilities: Creating pick-up and drop-off bays for buses, autos, taxis, feeders, private vehicles, along with cycle tracks and parking areas.
  • Junction and Traffic Management: Geometric improvements at junctions, lane marking, installation of signals, signage, central medians, handrails, and traffic management measures.
  • Street Furniture and Landscaping: Installation of street furniture, such as dustbins, benches, kiosks, bus stops, along with landscaping, tree guards, street lights relocation, and wayfinding signage.
  • Coordination with Utility Agencies: Collaboration with MCGM, BEST, RTO, and utility providers like Reliance Energy, TATA Power, and others for the relocation of junction boxes and overall improvement.
