Second convoy carrying of Four Coaches of the first prototype train for the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 Corridor arrived in Mumbai on 05th August, 2022.
More details:
- The second convoy of four trailers carrying four Metro Coaches reached Sariput Nagar, in Aarey, in the wee hours on 05th August.
- The second convoy required ten days to reach the city from SriCity, Andhra Pradesh-a distance of 1,400 kms. The 4 coaches-weighing 42-tonne each-were brought by special 8-axelled trailers with 64 wheels.
- With this, all the eight Metro Coaches of the first prototype train of Metro Line-3 will now be assembled at the temporary site set up by MMRC for “Train delivery and testing track area” at Sariput Nagar in next two days and checking of trains will follow immediately, thereafter.
