NCRTC and IRCTC collaborates to promote ‘One India-One Ticket’ initiative in RRTS Corridor

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) collaborated to enhance the travel experience for passengers of the Namo Bharat trains over the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut RRTS Corridor through the ‘One India – One Ticket’ initiative.

More Details:

Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project implemented by the NCRTC across the National Capital Region, is a new, dedicated, high speed, high capacity, comfortable commuter service connecting regional nodes in NCR. Currently the Sahibabad – Modinagar North section is operational and work is in progress to connect other cities to Delhi. This innovative collaboration aims to provide a seamless travel solution, making it easier for passengers to book and travel using both the Indian Railways and the RRTS services.

Benefits of Collaboration:

  • Add-On Booking Option: After purchasing a train e-ticket on IRCTC, users can book Namo Bharat train tickets for up to 8 travellers per booking as an add-on service.
  • Booking and Accessibility: The RRTS booking option will be visible on the PNR confirmation page and accessible through the user’s train ticket booking history.
  • QR Code Details: Each RRTS ticket will feature a unique QR code printed on the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS), valid for four days from the day before to two days after the journey date.\

  • Payment and Refund Policy: Namo Bharat ticket fares will be collected alongside the IRCTC convenience fee (Rs. 5 + taxes) through online payment methods. Full refunds will be issued for RRTS fares if cancelled, but convenience fees and taxes are non-refundable.
  • Booking Flexibility: Users can book Namo Bharat tickets up to 120 days in advance or for same-day travel, with options to book via the IRCTC platform or revisit booking history to add tickets later. NCRTC is considering unlimited travel passes for boosting tourism in the Delhi NCR region.
