Noida Metro marks record ridership of around 56,168 passengers on a single day

Noida Metro Rail Corporation once again broke the passenger journey record on 16th January, 2023 (Monday). NMRC carried 56,168 passengers on aqualine which is the highest ever since the date of commercial operations.

  • NMRC is making constant efforts to facilitate the journey of the passengers and following initiative have been taken for the ease of passengers:
    • Additional X-Ray Baggage machine is installed at Sector-51 Metro Station.
    • Two (2) Ticket Vending Machines are installed at Sector-51 and one (1) at KP-II Metro Station.
    • Additional Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates are being installed at Sector-51 Metro Station.
  • Apart from above, NMRC is celebrating the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ – 75 years of India’s Independence’ (AKAM) and its fourth anniversary of successful commercial operation of aqualine on 26.01.2023.
  • On this occasion, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will also organise a special camp for issuing NMRC Smart Cards free of cost. The camp is being organised in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI).
  • In this Campaign, NMRC will provide SBI Co-branded ‘CITY1’ cards at no cost (free of cost) from 26.01.2023 to 04.02.2023 (Ten days) at Stations.
  • We request the commuters to actively participate in this campaign and take maximum benefit of the Campaign. This will also promote digital India Campaign as card usage will get increased.
