
After relaxation of partial curfew in Gautam Buddh Nagar, NMRC resumed train services from 09-06-2021. Initially, passenger ridership remained very low and week-wise average daily ridership of only 2,877 passengers could be achieved.
- NMRC has been taking necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to ensure a safe journey for commuters.
- The Board discussed and decided following major issues:
- All NMRC trains are fully sanitized after each trip.
- The stations, platform and other “contact areas” like Call buttons of lifts, AFC gates, Handle belts of Escalators & Staircases, POS machines etc. are sanitized at regular intervals.
- Passenger screening team is deployed at each station to check masks, temperature and hand sanitization of commuters.
- Signages & markings are provided in the station area and inside trains for maintaining proper social distance amongst passengers.
- Due to various measures taken by NMRC, the confidence of commuters has been growing gradually.
- As a result, in the previous week i.e. from 11-10-2021 to 17-10-21, NMRC achieved week-wise average daily ridership of 17, 289. NMRC also achieved its highest ridership of 22,996 passengers on a single day post lockdown on 11-10-2021.
- Passengers are advised to use Noida metro services without any fear or inhibition.

Noida Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (NMRC) on 23.09.2021 convened its 28th Board Meeting via video conferencing at Sector-6 Noida Authority. The Board Meeting was chaired by Shri Kamran Rizvi, Chairman (NMRC) & Additional Secretary, MoHUA.
- Board Members from the NMRC – Smt. Ritu Maheshwari, MD / NMRC & CEO Noida; Shri Shyam Sunder Dubey, Director NMRC & Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor, MoHUA; Shri Jaideep, Director NMRC & OSD(UT) / MoHUA; Shri Narendra Bhooshan, Director NMRC & CEO, Greater Noida; and Shri Vinay Kumar Singh, Director NMRC & MD (NCRTC) were also present.
- From NMRC Shri Praveen Mishra, ED / NMRC & ACEO / Noida Authority; Shri Pankaj Malhotra, GM / Finance; Shri Manoj Vajpayee, GM / Technical, Ms. Nisha Wadhawan, Company Secretary and other senior officials were present during the meeting.
The Board discussed and decided following major issues:
- To expedite the Govt. of India approval of DPR from Sector 51 to Knowledge Park V, positively by November 2021.
- Providing alternative seamless connectivity on priority for commuters of NMRC Aqua line & DMRC blue line between sector 51 & 52 metro stations.
- Exploring efficient bus routes and providing bus services on it by engaging small size buses to enhance metro ridership and to provide last mile connectivity to commuters.
- Created the post of Director (Finance)
- Approval of Balance Sheet for the Financial Year 2020 – 2021.
