NORD College Program at Bannari Amman Institute

The Department of Mechatronics, BIT and NORD Drivesystesms signed an MOU. The function took place on 5th December 2017 at Sathyamangalam, Erode.

Bannari Amman Institute of Technology has signed an MOU with NORD India. The signatories of the MOU are Mr. PL Muthusekkar, Managing Director of NORD India and Dr. A. M. Natarajan, the chief executive of Bannari Amman Institute ofTechnology.

This tie-up is for information sharing, providing training opportunities for students. The college program focuses areas like gear boxes, industrial drive and technology.

NORD has sponsored an automated conveyor belt driven by a decentralized drive and a geared motor. A cut section model of helical bevel gear motor assembly has also been presented to the college.These Industry 4.0 display models are for the practical education of the students. NORD also showcased its service vehicle demo of various products for the benefit of the students.

Mr. Pradeep Magar, Senior Manager – Engineering presented a guest lecture on introduction and nuances of gears and its selection for industrial applications.

“Our aim is to enhance student’s skills as they step out of college,” says Mr. PL Muthusekkar. He continues to express that “NORD endeavours to create a resource for students. This will help the students to be industry ready. In future, the students have the opportunity to get direct mentors from the company.”
