Patna Metro update: Tenders invited for supply of 1200 MT Rails for New ISBT Depot

In continuation to tender for Contract PE-02, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd. has invited open e-tenders on Local Competitive Basis (LCB), for the work, Contract PT- 7 : Manufacturing & Supply of 1200 MT 90 UTS, UIC 60, 13 m, Class “A” 880 Grade Rails, IRS-T-12-2009 for New ISBT Patna Depot of Patna Metro Rail Project of PMRCL

  • Approximate cost of work: INR 7.65 Crores
  • Completion period of the Work: 12 months from the date of issue of Letter of Acceptance
  • Document Download / Sale Start Date: 21-Dec-2020
  • Document Download / Sale End Date: 28-Jan-2021 
  • Bid Submission Start Date: 20-Jan-2021 
  • Bid Submission End Date: 28-Jan-2021
  • Bid Opening Date: 29-Jan-2021 

Source of Funds:

  • This is NON-JICA Funded Contract Chargeable to PMRCL. 
  • This is a PMRCL funded work. 
  • As per the MOU signed between DMRC and PMRCL, this work is being executed by DMRC on deposit work basis wherein there is provision of Closure of Contracts and Taking Over which is reproduced as below, “Accordingly, Tenderer shall ensure due closure of this Contract for execution of works with DMRC. 
  • Tenderer shall ensure that all risks, rewards and claims associated with this contract are settled before closure of this contract. 
  • Tenderer to note above while submitting bid with DMRC. 
  • However, if this closure is not possible within one year of Revenue Operation Date (ROD) due to arbitration etc, the further management of this contract will be handled by PMRCL.

Scope of work – 

It includes manufacturing, testing, inspection and Supply of 1200 MT 90 UTS, UIC 60, 13 m, Class “A” 880 Grade Rails, IRS-T-12-2009. Manufacturer will be responsible

  • Production of Rails as per IRS-T-12-2009 with updated amendments.
  • Inspection & Testing as per IRS-T-12-2009 with updated amendments.
  • Loading, unloading, Transportation & delivery to DMRC Store properly stacked as per IRS-T-12-2009 with updated amendments.

Note- DMRC will provide the suitable stacking space with suitable surface.
