PM Modi flags off six Vande Bharat trains and unveils rail projects worth over Rs. 660 crore in Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off six Vande Bharat trains, enhancing connectivity across key routes in Eastern India. He also laid the foundation stone and dedicated railway projects worth over Rs 660 crore in Jharkhand, including the Madhupur Bypass line and Hazaribagh Town Coaching Depot, aimed at improving travel efficiency and boosting regional development.

Launch of Six Vande Bharat Trains:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off six state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express trains, these new services will enhance travel comfort, speed, and connectivity for passengers across these key locations:

  • Tatanagar – Patna 
  • Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah
  • Brahmapur – Tatanagar 
  • Gaya – Howrah 
  • Deoghar – Varanasi 
  • Rourkela – Howrah

Inauguration of Railway Projects:

Key projects include the Madhupur Bypass line in Deoghar district and the Hazaribagh Town Coaching Depot. The Madhupur Bypass will reduce travel time and congestion on the Howrah-Delhi mainline, while the Hazaribagh Depot will facilitate maintenance operations.

Doubling of Kurkura-Kanaroan Line:

He inaugurated the doubling of the Kurkura-Kanaroan line, part of the Bondamunda-Ranchi section. This expansion will significantly boost the mobility of goods and passenger traffic on the Rourkela-Gomoh route via Ranchi, Muri, and Chandrapura stations, enhancing overall rail connectivity in the region.

Safety Enhancements:

Four new road under bridges (RUBs) were also dedicated to enhance safety for pedestrians and vehicles, addressing crucial road-rail intersections and improving safety standards across the region.
