PMi inaugurated Mumbai Metro Line 3, a crucial development in urban mobility. The new 12.69 km stretch connects Aarey JVLR to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), offering an efficient underground transit system to the financial capital and easing the daily commute for Mumbaikars.
Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project:
The foundation stone was laid for the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, which aims to address Thane’s transportation needs. The 29 km project will feature 20 elevated and 2 underground stations and be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 12,200 crore, boosting connectivity in the industrial hub.
Commemorative Launch & MetroConnect3 App:
A coffee table book, showcasing the journey of Metro Line 3, was unveiled, capturing the metro’s development through vibrant images. The MetroConnect3 app was launched to provide real-time information on station facilities, last-mile connectivity planning, and a grievance mechanism, supporting commuters in English, Hindi, and Marathi.

I thank the Government of Japan and Japanese International Corporation Agency (JICA) in particular for their support of the Aqua line. This metro project is also a symbol of India-Japan friendship.”

The BKC to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, worth Rs 14,120 crore, features 10 stations, with 9 underground. It is expected to cater to around 12 lakh passengers daily, significantly boosting public transport between Mumbai city and suburbs and reshaping the region’s urban infrastructure.
