PM Modi inaugurates railway projects worth Rs. 2800 crores in Odisha, boosting connectivity and growth

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for multiple railway projects totaling over Rs. 2800 crores in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. These projects aim to enhance rail infrastructure, improve connectivity, and stimulate regional growth. The developments focus on serving key industrial sectors, optimising port access, and easing traffic congestion across major railway corridors in the state.

Dhenkanal-Sadashibpur-Hindol Road Section (Budhapank-Salegaon Rail Line)

  • Length: 40.62 KM
  • Cost: ₹540 Crores
  • Benefits: Streamlined transport of coal, iron ore, and goods to ports and industries, boosting the efficiency of power plants in Odisha.

Lanjigarh Road-Ambodala-Daikallu Section (Vizianagaram-Titlagarh Rail Line)

  • Length: 25.39 KM
  • Cost: ₹432 Crores
  • Benefits: Alternative route for industrial freight, easing congestion in key Howrah-Mumbai and Howrah-Chennai corridors.

Paradeep-Badabandha 3rd & 4th Rail Line

  • Length: 18.51 KM
  • Cost: ₹300 Crores
  • Benefits: Enhanced port connectivity, operational efficiency in key industrial routes.

MCRL Inner Corridor (Phase I) Doubling Project

  • Length: 10.93 KM
  • Cost: ₹152 Crores
  • Benefits: Facilitates coal evacuation from Talcher, easing traffic flow and train operations.

Siju-Paradeep Flyover Project

  • Length: 7 KM
  • Cost: ₹200 Crores
  • Benefits: Improves traffic by removing surface crossings, streamlining outbound traffic.

Jeypore-Nabarangpur New Rail Line

  • Length: 41.9 KM
  • Cost: ₹748 Crores
  • Benefits: Enhanced connectivity and socio-economic growth for Nabarangpur district.

Bangurkela-Nawagaon Doubling Project (Part of Bondamunda-Ranchi Project)
