From its inception in 1974, Fluid Controls has engaged in original R&D and has had an ethos of developing products which are indigenous replacements of imports. Our founder, Dr. v E Ivloochhala. left his career in the USA and laid the foundation of Fluid Controls because he was a strong believer in a self-reliant India. His idea was to develop high quality, high-performance products to suit local climatic and performance expectations.

Today, Fluid Controls is approved as an ‘In-House R&D unit by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. Our state-of-the-art R&D center is located at Chakan, Pune. Fluid Controls offers design services and conversion engineering, including 3D modelling, FEA and prototyping via SolidWorks and ANSYS. The Fluid Controls R&D team uses the latest software and is equipped to customize connectors and products for customer requirements.

The Fluid Controls R&D Center has a fully-fledged state-of-the-art performance and measurement laboratory equipped to conduct all pressure, vibration and reliability and measurement tests. The laboratory is certified by NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratory) in accordance with 1001155 17025:2017.

Product design and development with performance testing is an inspiration for our business. Because of our R&D strength and DSIR approval, we are constantly researching new developments in our field and our primary research ensures that we are constantly innovating. Since 2011, we have developed over 25 new products and have published 22 articles in technical journals. Fluid Controls has been awarded its first Global Patent and has tiled disclosures for two more patents.

Our products are manufactured at our facility located at Chakan (Pune) which is spread over 120,000 square feet and is equipped to handle the movement of millions of products each month.

With our composite expertise of manufacturing connectors, our understanding of tube and end connector performance and our decades of experience of swaging and accurate tube bending, Fluid Controls offers customers a complete end-to-end in-house engineered supply, installation and pre-assernbly solutions.

Our engineered installation services are offered by experienced professionals and include:

  • On-slte connector fitment services: our expert resident team provides swaging services and ensures proper fitment of ferrules and performance of the connector
  • End-to-End Installation Servius: Mclude on-elte installation of brake pipelines on the shell undentrame and bogie, including tube formation, connector fitment, mounting of piping and leakage testing
  • Tube Assemblies: CMM measured Tube Assemblies to facilitate easy on-site installation. The tube formation, end formation and swaging of connectors is done at our facility and the Pm-piped assemblies are shipped to customer sites.

  • Hose Assemblies: High-quality hose assemblies with engineered. crimped and assembled in-house All hose assemblies are performance tested prior to shipment The Fluid Controls Quality Commitment

We offer complete material traceability and the latest design performance certifications and our corporate policy of continuous improvement ensures customer delight!

All validation and testing are conducted in-house at our NABL approved test laboratory. The test facilities include:

  • Hydrostatic pressure up to 58,000psi. Pneumatic testing up to 20,000psi
  • In-house Spectre testing
  • In-house Spectro testing
  • SCADA Multi Test bench for Hydraulic Impulse and Vibration test, Temperature cycling, Corrosion Resistance of plating as per ASTM 138402002 by salt spray method ASTM B117
  • Stress Corrosion test as per ASTM F,30T. including Flexure Fatigue, Rotary Flexure and Tensile Pull Test
  • Vacuum and Cryogenic Test Ups
  • In-house UTS, PM! and Rockwell B Vickers hardness stesting
