About the project:
- It is proposed to do vertical drilling in soil, overburden & rock upto maximum depth of 10m to 20m, including conducting SPT, collection of Undisturbed, disturbed soil samples and rock core samples for preparation of Feasibility and Detailed Project Report for Mass Rapid Transit System in Coimbatore for following packages.

Scope of work:
The scope of work includes:
- Mobilization of drilling rigs, other drilling tools and accessories including personnel for carrying out drilling work conducting SPT, collection of Undisturbed, disturbed soil samples and rock core samples.
- De-mobilization drilling rigs, other drilling tools & accessories and personnel after completion of work.
- Setting up of drilling machines at each borehole location as per the location coordinates.
- Drilling of 150mm diameter boreholes in all kinds of soil including gravels and cobbles and NX size boreholes in boulders and rocky strata. All boreholes shall be drilled up to maximum 10 m depth below the ground or 2m in weathered rock level or 1m in fresh and hard rock whichever is earlier in the section of at grade portion of alignment.
- These bore holes shall be drilled at an interval of about 500m c/c distance of alignment or at change of strata.
- Drilling of 150mm diameter boreholes in all kind of soil including gravels and cobbles and NX size boreholes in boulders and rocky strata. All boreholes shall be drilled up to maximum 20 m depth below the ground level or 7m in weathered rock or 3m in fresh and hard rock whichever is earlier in the section of elevated portion of alignment. These bore holes shall be drilled at an interval of about 500m c/c distance of alignment or at change of strata
- Collection of 100mm dia. meter, 450mm long undisturbed samples from bore holes and sealing the tube with molten wax at every 3.0m alternate.
- Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) in soil at every 3.0m alternate.
- Transportation and handing over of soil, rock cores and water samples to RITES GT Laboratory at RITES BHAWAN, ROC, Plot No-1, Sector-29, Gurgaon. Haryana
- Preparation and submission of field bore logs in hard copy as well as in soft copy.
