RITES invites tenders for Railway Electrification works at Chhota Gudha Station

Scope of Work:

  • Railway Board has allotted Execution of Railway Electrification work of Ringas (Excl)-Jaipur (Excl.) – Sawaimadhopur (Excl) section (188.8 TKM) of Jaipur Division of North Western Railway, Rajasthan to RITES. 
  • The work has been completed and CRS sanction has been received. 
  • The Electric Trains are in operation in Jaipur-Sawaimadhopur Section and electric train operation in Jaipur- Ringas Section is likely to be started soon.
  • The Chhota Gudha Station has been electrified with Single line section. 
  • The Construction unit of NWR is modifying the Chhota Gudha stations from Single Line to Three Line station. 
  • RITES has been asked to carry out the electrification work of new lines being constructed. 
  • The work will involve the electrification of new lines at Chhota Gudha station including the modification in existing OHE. 
  • Also, the Auxiliary Transformers have been installed and commissioned by RITES at 14 Nos. stations in Ringus-Jaipur-Sawaimadhopur section and 9 Nos. 
  • LC gates in Jaipur-Sawaimadhopur section with single incoming supply cable. 
  • The work will also include the complete work for the provision of spare AT cables for installed AT’s as per the site conditions.

OHE & General Electrical Work:

  • The brief scope of work in this bid document is Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 25 KV, 50 Hz, Single Phase AC, Traction Overhead Equipment, at Chhota Gudha Station in Jaipur-Ringus Section.
  • The work is to be executed as per the latest instructions and drawings issued by RDSO / Railway Board /RITES and CEE / Zonal Railways. The Over-Head Equipment used shall normally be of Regulated Conventionalm Polygonal type 25KV 50Hz Single phase AC OHE fit for a speed of 160 Kmph.
  • Sectioning Drawing of Chhota Jaipur-Ringus Section as approved by railway for three-line stations will be supplied by the employer. Any modification if need to be done in sectioning drawing as per the design of Layout plan prepared by bidder shall be carried out by Bidder.  Bidders need to carry out detailed verification of same and survey for preparation of Layout plans etc., Supply and Installation of Over Head Equipment at 25 KV AC and all associated work including preparation of all drawings.

Design & Drawings:

  • The Contractor shall execute the work according to BOQ, Explanatory notes, specification, RDSO/CORE latest specification.
  • The design of OHE span shall be for basic wind speed of 47 m/sec (155kgf) prevailing in Jaipur-Ringus Section.
  • The contractor shall furnish the details of soil test report for designs.
  • Auto tensioning devices at Cross-overs, Turnouts, overlap type neutral sections and all other such locations having short tension lengths shall be provided with hexagonal tie-rods as per latest RDSO instructions.
  • The Raised Register Arm Clamp and Parallel grooved Clamps conforming to following RDSO drawings (or as amended) shall only be used.

  • Contact Wire Parallel Clamp ETI/OHE/P/1041-2, Revision ‘D’ (Part Small)-RDSO drawing no.
  • Parallel Clamp (150/160)-RDSO drawing no. ETI/OHE/P/1050-3, Revision ‘A’.
  • Parallel Clamp Part (150/105-150)-RDSO drawing No. ETI/OHE/P/1051-2, Revision ‘C’.
  • Parallel Clamp Part (150/240) – RDSO drawing no. ETI/OHE/P/1530-1, Revision ‘C’.
  • Porcelain and Composite insulators shall be tested as per latest RDSO instructions.
  • As per RDSO circular no. TI/OHE/INS/GEN/13 dated 19.6.2013 composite insulators of 1050mm CD shall be used in stone pelting areas only with the approval of Railway. Approx. 5% assemblies in the section are likely to be provided with Composite insulators while remaining brackets shall be provided with Porcelain insulators. 9 Ton composite Insulators shall be provided as per directives of Railway.
  • Anti-falling arrangement for Auto Tensioning devices shall be provided as per RDSO drawing no. TI / DRG / OHE / ATD / RDSO / 00009 / 05 / 0 or as amended.
  • Separate DJ Close boards shall be provided for MEMU / EMU.
  • Modified protection screen Shall FOBs/ROBs.(ETI/C/0068 (07/09) Rev H. Be provided at all.
