Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) team for milestone achievement of execution of RE of Hotgi-Solapur double line section RKM 14.96 & TKM 44.71. CRS inspection was successfully held 09.12.2021. With the completion of this stretch, the Solapur-Kalaburgi Double line section is now totally electrified.
- CRS inspection of Railway electrification work between Hotgi-Solapur double line section (RKM 14.96 & TKM 44.71) was successfully completed on 09-12-2021 by RVNL’s PUNE PIU.
- With the commissioning of this section, now 610 RKM railway electrification work is completed out of 641 RKM of the PUNE-WADI-GUNTAKAL section electrification project.
- This project covers a very important route of the golden quadrilateral connecting Mumbai & Chennai city. In addition to this, all south-going electric passenger & goods train from an important city like Hyderabad, Chennai & Bangalore (South Central Railway & Southwest Railway) can come up to Solapur district, Maharashtra ( Central Railway) on electric traction.
- During Electrification of this section, special OHE arranged under ROB 454/01 made due to less height and insulation sheet provided with approval from RDSO.
- With this Solapur-Kalaburgi Double line section is now totally electrified.
Recent Achievement:
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited team for the milestone achievement of Railway Electrification of Palakkodu-Sivadi 29.97 KM and 32.66 TKM section. CRS inspection and speed trial 100 kmph successfully held on 17.11.21.
The Railway Electrification (RE) works for the single line between Baiyyappanahalli to Omalur (via Hosur) of South Western Railway; Bangalore Division is being executed by RVNL for a sanctioned value of Rs.157.22 Cr by Railway Board.
- The 220TKM/196RKM of RE works in this section; 132.006 TKM/119.45 RKM i.e., from Baiyyappanahalli to Palakkodu has been commissioned on dated 07.03.2021.
- Presently, the CRS inspection between Palakkodu (Excl.)-Sivadi (Excl.) section for a route length 29.967 RKM & track length of 32.659 TKM has been completed successfully along with AC Loco Trial Run on dated 17.11.2021 with a maximum speed up to 100 Kmph.
- Commissioning of the section from Palakkodu (Excl.) to Sivadi (Excl.) further facilitates hauling of trains particularly Goods trains with AC traction from Bangalore to Dharmapuri.
