Every year, GM’s Annual Inspection will be conducted to check the operational safety of the section. Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager of South Western Railway along with Principal Heads of Departments and Hubballi Divisional Railway Manager conducted Annual Inspection of Hotgi-Gadag Section on 29.01.2021.
- He conducted window trailing inspection starting from Hotgi by Special train.
- He inspected Bhima Bridge, the longest bridge of South Western Railway and checked various safety parameters.
- He inspected Indi Road Railway station, points & crossings at the station and inaugurated Selfie Point, Garden and Pay & Use Toilets at the station premises.
- He inspected Curve between Indi Road & Nimbal and interacted with Gang No. 1 & 2 and enquired about their grievances.
- Railway is shifting towards digitalization and has introduced the Human Resource Management System, a single-window communication system between Railway Administration and employees.
- Through HRMS application, now railway employees can apply for pass online, apply for withdrawal of PF online etc. on this occasion, a User Guide to HRMS was released by GM and distributed to Gangmen present there.
- At Vijayapura, he inspected the station, on-going station redevelopment work, ART and also inaugurated the SantKabir Park, renovated Running Room, and commissioned Hydraulic Rescue Device equipment.
- He inspected Level Crossing Gate No. 62 between Basavana Bagevadi Road and Wandal.
- A speed trial was conducted between Bagalkot and Hole Alur as part of the inspection.
- Shri Ajay Kumar Singh expressed his satisfaction over the safety parameters and congratulated the officers and staff for upkeeping the railway assets properly and safely.
- He also distributed cash awards to employees who have performed outstandingly.
- Shri Devanand Chanvan, Hon’ble MLA of Nagthan submitted a representation at Michael and public submitted memorandum at Hole Alurto GM regarding railway related issues.
