Shri Alok Kansal – General Manager of Western Railway conducted a surprise inspection of Grant Road station, on 2nd December, 2021. Shri Kansal reviewed the cleanliness as well as upkeep & maintenance of passenger amenities at the station.
- He also reviewed the ongoing works as well as safety & security parameters at the station premises.
- GM was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager & divisional officials.
- According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur — Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, GM Shri Alok Kansal inspected various key parameters of passenger conveniences at Grant Road station.
- Shri Kansal inspected the booking counters, Bottle Crushing Machines.
- Reviewed the condition & cleanliness of toilet blocks, water coolers, catering stalls, etc.
- GM inspected every nook & corner of the station premises from cleanliness point of view.
- Shri Kansal, conveyed his anguish on the officials for the state of affair.
- He directed for proper planning & adequate arrangements of passenger amenities at the platform for providing better convenience to passengers with special emphasis on completion of Foot over Bridges.
- He reviewed the ongoing works being undertaken by MRVC & urged to expedite the construction works.
- He further instructed to ensure proper safety measures during construction stages & timely removal as well as disposal of debris/released materials.
- Shri Kansal exhorted the concerned officials to imbibe the principles contained in the Tenets of Philosophy in their working.
- He urged them to be more proactive in dispensing their duties and providing better & enhanced travelling experience to commuters.
- He reiterated the divisional railway officials to observe the Oath of Shramdaan with a view to achieve the objective of Antyodaya i.e inclusive development and serving the last person in society.
