Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti – General Manager of Western & Central Railway conducted extensive inspection of Bhuj railway station as well as Bhuj Coaching Depot of WR’s Ahmedabad Division on 12th February, 2022. Shri Lahoti was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager along with senior officers of Ahmedabad Division.
- According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, GM Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti inspected Bhuj station and reviewed the upkeep & maintenance of passenger amenities at the station as well as the progress of various passenger amenities works.
- GM inspected various key parameters of passenger conveniences at Bhuj station such as Escalators, Lifts, Concourse Hall, VIP lounge, AC Waiting Hall as well as Ladies Waiting hall, cleanliness of Toilets & Divyang Toilets.
- He also conducted inspection of catering stalls and checked the Expiry date of products, quality of food, No Bill No Payment board, billing machines, etc.
- Thereafter, GM Shri Lahoti visited Bhuj Coaching Depot for inspection.
- He inspected various ongoing activities related to maintenance, safety & good works being done. GM was briefed about technological improvements undertaken like water filling modification, FIBA modification etc.

Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti – General Manager of Western & Central Railway conducted extensive inspection of Mumbai – Surat section of WR’s Mumbai Division on 9th February, 2022. GM Shri Lahoti also took stock of various ongoing developmental and upgradation works of infrastructure as well as passenger amenities over the section.
- Shri Lahoti was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Central Division along with senior officers of Mumbai Division.
- According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, GM Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti conducted a window trailing inspection of Mumbai – Surat section.
- He reviewed the various safety parameters of tracks, Level Crossing Gates with concerned officials.
- Shri Lahoti inspected Andheri & Borivali stations & reviewed various passenger amenities works in progress.
- He took stock of the passenger footfalls at these stations, the provision of escalators & lifts and other ongoing works for crowd control management.
- With a special focus on safety and enhancing speed, he also emphasized on expediting the work of removal of Permanent Speed Restrictions (PSRs) over suburban section.
- Thereafter, Shri Lahoti conducted inspection of Virar Carshed.
- During his visit to maintenance shops, he emphasized on special attention on safety aspects during maintenance.
- He also visited the Electrical Training Centre at the Carshed and inspected the EMU Simulator.
- GM interacted with Motormen at the Training Centre.
- GM Shri Lahoti also inaugurated a Leaf Composter (Green Bin) at the Car shed as an impetus to Green Initiatives.
- Shri Thakur further stated that GM Shri Lahoti conducted inspection of Valsad station and reviewed the upgradation & passenger amenities works.
- He also inspected the safety parameters at Level Crossing Gates between Dahahu Road & Gholvad (LC – 57), between Sanjan & Bhilad (LC – 71) & LC – 111 near Amalsad station.
- GM appreciated the alertness of Gateman Shri Vijay Solanki due to which a probable accident was averted at LC – 111 and felicitated him with Cash Award.
