Shri Ashesh Agrawal has joined as General Manager Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala on 26.10.2021. Prior to this, he was working as Adviser/ Environment & Housekeeping Management in the Railway Board.
- After his schooling in Mumbai, he studied in IIT/Mumbai for one year but meanwhile he was selected by UPSC in the SCRA Exam and joined at Jamalpur in 1982.
- He has worked in many important posts including Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer (PCME) Western Railway and Divisional Rail Manager /Secunderabad (Secunderabad is one of the biggest divisions of Indian Railways), three tenures in Railway Board, Chief Workshop Manager/Jhansi Workshop (biggest wagon workshop of Indian Railways). He has also worked as Director (Policy) of Food & Public Distribution in Government of India.
- Shri Ashesh Agrawal is highly educated having degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication degree as well as a MBA degree.
- He has attended short term Management Training in the U.K.,Italy and U.S.A as well as in Anti Corruption Academy, Luxemburg, Austria.
- He has special interest in Total Quality Management and Sports & Cultural activities.
- It Is to be noted that Shri V M Srivastava, General Manager, Modern Coach Factory, Rai bareilly was looking after GM of RCF after the transfer of Shri Ravinder Gupta as Director General/Safety at Railway Board, New Delhi.
