Shri Manoj Joshi, GM, Kolkata Metro inspects Noapara Carshed Depot

Shri Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Metro Railway, inspected Noapara Carshed Depot o­n 16.07.2021. He inspected Motormen Training School & state of the art Dynamic Simulator provided for training of Motormen. 

  • He also inspected the Periodic Overhauling Workshop, Rolling Stock Shed & construction site of the new shed.
  • Shri Joshi inaugurated a CNC Axle Turning Machine & Two tier Inspection Bay for inspection and maintenance of roof mounted equipment. 
  • He also reviewed the performance of Carshed & discussed action taken for improving reliability of rolling stock.
  • The Principal Head of Departments accompanied the General Manager during this inspection.
  • The General Manager expressed his satisfaction seeing the improvement made.

Metro Services:

In order to facilitate the Metro commuters, it has been decided to add 16 more services (UP & DN) in the morning and evening peak hours from 19.07.2021(Monday). Metro will run 208 daily services instead of 192 services from Monday to Friday so that the passengers can travel comfortably.

  • During morning and evening peak hours, Metro services will run at the interval of 6 minutes.
  • First Service:
    • At 08.00 hrs  from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash
    • At 08.00 hrs from Dum Dum to Dakshineswar
    • At 08.00 hrs from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar
    • At 08.00 hrs  from Dum Dum to Kavi Subhash
  • Last Service:
    • At 19.48 hrs from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash
    • At 20.00 hrs from Dum Dum to  Kavi Subhash
    • At 20.00 hrs from Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar
  • On Saturdays, 104 numbers ( 52 UP & 52 DN ) Maintenance Special Services will be run for essential staff from 08.00 hrs to 11.30 hrs and 15.30 hrs to 19.30 hrs from Kavi Subhash and Dakshinewar.
  • There will be no services o­n Sundays.  
  • East – West Metro services will remain unchanged. 
  • No tokens will be issued.
