Shri Vineet Gupta appointed as new Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) at Western Railway

Shri Vineet Gupta has taken over the charge of the post of Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) of Western Railway. Prior to this, he was Senior Deputy General Manager at South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata.

More Details:

  • Shri Vineet Gupta, IRSE (Indian Railway Service of Engineers) of 1988 Batch joined Indian Railways in the capacity of Assistant Divisional Engineer, Igatpuri, Central Railway in the year 1990.
  • He is an alumnus of Maulana Azad College of Technology, Bhopal. He has worked in different Zonal Railways viz. Eastern Railway, Western Railway, Central Railway, IRICEN/Pune in various capacities such as Sr. Professor (Bridge)/IRICEN, Chief Engineer (Construction), Central Railway, Secretary to General Manager, Deputy Chief Engineer (Construction)/Central Railway, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination)/Bhusaval and Divisional Engineer/Central Railway, Mumbai.
  • Shri Gupta has also held the post of Divisional Railway Manager of WR’s Ratlam Division from November 2019 to October 2022.
  • Shri Gupta has travelled extensively and has undergone international training in Malaysia & Singapore.
  • His contribution in Amravati-Narkhed 155 km new line, doubling of 42 km line between Diva-Vasai, construction of new platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal station (CSMT) and 7th line between CSMT and Wadi Bunder station and various Civil Engineering and Bridge works is noteworthy.
  • He has keen interest in Sports, Railway History and Heritage as well as socio-cultural activities.
