Scope of Works:
- Scope of work is between Chainage (-) 120.277 mtr. to +7628.00 mtr. (including 07 stations) on Corridor- II of Agra Metro at Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India.
- The project site is located at Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The location of the work and the general site particulars are shown in the General Arrangements Drawings enclosed in the tender documents. The contractor shall plan his works keeping in view restriction of approach and availability of space and time.
- The work under this contract shall consist of, but not limited to, furnishing all labours, materials, equipment’s, tools, plants and necessary machinery as required to completely execute all the works.
Viaduct:
- Detailed survey of the alignment for viaduct, for fixing span configuration, as per GAD and Construction of following major components of viaduct;
- Detailed Geotechnical Investigation at foundation locations and submission of report.
- Pile foundation (Group of pile) with hydraulic rotary piling rigs for viaduct.
- Pile cap including leveling course.
- Open foundation including leveling course
- Pier, pier cap, cross arm and extended pier cap as per the shape and finishes
- Cantilever piers, extended pier, portal piers and portal beam at locations shown in the drawings
- Crash barrier as per Tender drawing
- Elastomeric bearings on spans including bearing pedestals, seismic devices, shear key restrainer
- Precast pier caps, precast portal beam and precast cross arm on the piers and transport, lifting, launching, fixing & pre-stressing on the piers
- Precast Twin U girders as per the Shape and size shown in the GAD (General Arrangement Drawing)
- Launching/Erection of the U Girder using cranes of suitable capacity or using overhead launching girder where launching is not possible with cranes
- Precast post tensioned I-Girders/Arch Girder as per shape and size shown in the GAD
- Launching/Erection of Precast post tensioned I-Girders/arch Girder
- Steel I-Girders as per shape and size shown in the GAD
- Launching/Erection of Steel I-Girders.
- Deck slab over erected I-Girder/Arch Girder.
- Parapets and MS railing as per tender drawing including painting on MS railing.
- Railing and cable ducts/Cable hangers as shown in the drawing
- Inserts for track plinth (Track plinth is not in the scope of this work)
- Expansion joint
- If at any location, permanent liners are required, the same will be paid under relevant items.
- Pile caps / Open Foundations resting at any depth depending upon the site condition shall include Excavation, levelling course, PCC, Dewatering, sheet piling/ soldier pilling & wooden lagging, if required, Backfilling complete in all respects.
- POT/PTFE bearings on continuous spans/special spans/ steel spans including vertical stoppers and a movement measuring device.
- Providing and fixing GI brackets with suitable covering arrangement on both sides of the parapet walls of viaduct for electrical cables & Signaling as per tender drawing.
- Manholes with manhole covers made of Cast Iron on the deck with locking arrangement.
- Earthing and stray current control arrangement, drainage system, inserts for OHE/signaling masts in the parapets and other systems as may be required.
- Arrangements for ground water recharging /Rainwater harvesting systems in alternate span to cater all the piers.
- Provision for cutouts in the viaducts required for services in coordination with various system contractors.
- Provision for MS/ RCC ladders / staircases along with railing for approaching the viaduct track bed from station platform at both ends for up & down lines shall be inclusive.
- The scope of work shall include detailed survey of the alignment for the viaduct, soil investigation, fixing an optimized span configuration avoiding shifting of utilities.
- Demolition of RCC framed /Steel structures, brick masonry buildings including basement, Road Footpath, Kerb Stone, FOB etc. as existing at site on the alignment without causing damage to adjacent structures, utilities and taking away all the debris and released materials etc.
- Launching of parapet is to be done preferably with the help of parapet launcher which is able to traverse on an already erected viaduct on temporary rail preferably wherever required.
- The contractor has to get necessary permission/ NOC from the railway, road and other concerned regulatory authorities for block and work in such locations.
- Employers will assist in getting them permission from concerned regulatory authorities for working in such locations.
- Railway charges for Traffic/Power block, if any, shall be borne by the Employer.
- Construction of steel superstructure span near crossing of NH-19 and other special spans as per Tender drawing.
- Providing and fixing polycarbonate parapet
- Anti-Carbonation paint on portal, cantilevers, cross arms, special structures etc.
Metro Stations:
- Agra Cantt. Station, Sadar Bazar Station, Pratap-Pura Station, Collectorate Station, Agra College Station, Hariparvat Station and Sanjay Place Station.
- Detailed investigation of the site for station Design and execution of the work including track bed and track bed supporting structures in station area as shown in the tender drawings and also as detailed in the scope of work given below should be included:
- Detailed Geotechnical Investigation at foundation locations and submission of report.
- Foundation structures on piles by hydraulic rigs or open footing as the case may be.
- Station structure including track supporting structure, commercial area, column, Precast and Cast-in-situ beams (Single/Double T/ I Beams), slabs, staircases, parapets, canopies, gutters, facades, RCC Water Tank (Underground / Overhead), Entry-Exit Structures and other structures at all levels as shown in the elevations, cross sections and all floor plans and other tender drawings,
- Lift shafts and escalators pits and other fixtures in stations subject to coordination with respective system contractors including water proofing of lift pit/escalator pits.
- Expansion joints including at the track bed and at other floor levels as per the specifications.
- Providing and fixing GI brackets with suitable covering arrangement on both sides of the parapet walls of viaduct / station for electrical cables & Signalling as per site requirement and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
- Providing cutouts, concealed pipes, raceways etc. required for various services and systems as per co-ordination with employer and also the service providers and the other system contractor.
- Underground water tank and pump house, D.G. room, bore wells 2 nos at each station and connection from borewells to the underground water tanks, waterproofing in the underground structure, terrace and Overhead Tanks.
- Drainage arrangements of the station, including laying of pipes, construction of ManHole, Sump, Drain in Basement and outlet Sump including connection to existing municipal drainage line as required.
- Masonry works with bricks confirming to IS 12894:2002 of class designation 100, block work (solid/AAC) of stipulated strength, plasterwork, lintel, ties, Mullions & Bands, Tie Beam etc. including earthquake resistance provisions in the detailing etc. at various level in the structures as shown in the Tender Drawings and detailed in the Scope of Work.
- Anti-Carbonation paint under stations concourse / track / platform, etc.
- Earth filling with compaction with Contractor’s own good earth up to plinth level wherever required. For the area falling on the road, backfilling shall be done with sand.
- Foundations for the system equipment etc. as per coordination with various service provisions and system contractors engaged by Employer.
- Elastomeric bearings on spans including bearing pedestals, seismic devices.
- Ground water recharging arrangements one at each station.
- Public toilets are one number at stations in circulating areas as per standard drawing with septic tank-soak pit/sewer connection with municipal system or STP as shown in the drawing.
- Crash barriers as per Tender drawing.
- Inserts for track plinth (Track plinth is not in the scope of this work)
- For stations located over road, a temporary arrangement is to be made for providing a working platform at suitable height so that traffic runs below it unhindered. This arrangement shall be maintained till completion of exterior finishing work.
- The working platform has to be covered with suitable material so that nothing falls on the road. A detailed scheme is to be submitted for approval before start of work.
- Grooves on Parapet as approved.
- Provisions for cutouts in the station required for various services in coordination with various system contractors.
- Earthing and stray current control arrangement for station and ancillary building as per requirement of system contractor.
- The contractor has to get necessary permission/ NOC from the railway, road and other concerned regulatory authorities for block and work in such locations. Employers will assist in getting them permission from concerned regulatory authorities for working in such locations.
- There is a possibility of some of the items not getting mentioned in the above list of works of viaduct & stations. Contractors are requested to go through the tender drawings also in detail as the works mentioned above as well as indicated in the tender drawings would be considered inclusive in the scope of work under quoted price.
- Employer decision shall be final in this regard in case of dispute. Some of the major utilities cannot be diverted. Contractor shall take into consideration the existence of these utilities and design the foundations at these locations accordingly.
Interface with E&M Works:
- The Civil Contractor, shall in carrying out his coordination responsibilities, raise in good time and provide information for the Employer to decide on any disagreement with E & M Contractor. If the contractor despite having taken all reasonable efforts cannot resolve such disagreement, then the decision of the Engineer shall be final.
- The E & M Contractor shall ensure the presence of his qualified and experienced engineer (Chief – Co – coordinator) during Civil construction of the station to enable proper interface with Civil Contractor so as to ensure smooth completion of works.
- The Civil Contractor shall conduct regular meetings with the Employer necessary to clarify particular aspects of the interfacing requirements of the works. He will also attend regular Coordination meetings convened by the Employer / Engineer for interface.
- The Civil Contractor will be the coordinating entity and play major role in the interface with E&M Contractor
Structural Works:
- The scope of works shall, inter-alia, include the following but not be limited to:
- Site clearance and dismantling of obstructions, if any, before commencement of work as specified or as directed.
- True and proper setting out and layout of the Works, bench marks and provision of all necessary labour, instruments and appliances in connection therewith as specified or as directed.
- Civil works include roofing (design and built), approach road works, soft and hard landscaping works.
- Suggested method is indicated in the drawings; however the methodology is required to be submitted by the tenderer and approved by Employer before carrying out the works.
- All disposable excavated material shall be collected and transported for disposal in specified areas or at any other land fill sites approved by relevant authorities.
- Clearing of site and handing over of all the Works, as specified or as directed;
- All aspects of quality assurance, including testing of materials and other components of the work, as specified or as directed;
- Maintenance of the completed Work during the period as specified;
- Submission of completion (i.e. ‘as-built’) drawings and other related documents as specified or as directed;
- Road works, internal & external water supply, sewerage and drainage system for stations etc.
- Constructions of ground water recharge pits.
- Construction of RCC / masonry trenches, ducts, cable ducts for crossing of various cables in stations.
- Any other item of work may be required to be carried out for completing the work under this Contract in all respects in accordance with the provisions of the Contract and/or to ensure the structural stability and safety during and after construction.
- Identification of utilities and diversions of the utilities coming in the foundation area wherever required including protection during construction is included in the scope of work. Any diversion work of utility shall be done with proper laisioning with the authorities controlling the utilities.
- Construction of RCC / masonry trenches, ducts, cable ducts for crossing of various cables in stations.
- Any other item of work may be required to be carried out for completing the work under this Contract in all respects in accordance with the provisions of the Contract and/or to ensure the structural stability and safety during and after construction.
Eligibility:
Work Experience:
- The tenderers will be qualified only if they have successfully completed or “substantially” ** completed similar work(s) as a prime contractor/ member of JV during last seven years ending last day of the month previous to the month of tender Publish Date as given below:
- At least One “similar work” of value of Rs. 557.22 Crores or more, or
- At least Two “similar works” each of value of Rs. 348.27 Crores or more, or
- At least Three “similar works” each of value of Rs. 278.61 Crores or more
- Similar Works for this tender shall be “Construction of Viaduct (which may include station along with viaduct) /Bridge /Flyover (excluding approaches & embankments) having a pre-stressed concrete superstructure.”
