Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) took a leap forward towards the completion of the Phase-2 project with significant infrastructural development. In context with this a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) has been issued to M/s Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd. for the Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Corridor-3 & 5.

Scope of Work under Contract:
The broad objective of this assignment would be to examine the commercial potential of these land parcels with connectivity to existing and proposed metro stations for the best- suited type of development and prepare a detailed project report considering the site, location, market, competition, and financial viability of the proposed development. These are broadly divided into two stages:
- Stage-1: Detailed Project Study
- Site Study
- Market Study Analysis
- Financial Feasibility
- Marketing Scope
- Concept Study and Recommendation
- Stage-2: Tender Design & Bid Document Preparation
- Tender Design Drawings
- Tender Documents

The contract awarded to Srei Infrastructure Finance is in line with the plans of Chennai Metro Rail Limited to execute the development of its Phase-2 project in a timely manner in order to expand the Chennai Metro Network for providing the best connectivity to the city.
