Delhi Metro awards contract to Evan Automation for advanced electronic locking systems at metro stations

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) awarded a significant Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to M/s Evan Automation Pvt. Ltd. for the implementation of advanced electronic locking systems in emergency doors at metro stations, aims to enhance safety and security across the network by ensuring reliable and efficient locking mechanisms.

The work under this Contract include:

The work envisaged in this tender is Provision of electronic locking in Emergency Doors with fire alarm system through Electromagnetic locking arrangement which includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electromagnetic lock in emergency exit doors/interfacing revenue-non revenue areas doors/ and fireman staircase of the locations mentioned above along with the integration with Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) at stations of DMRC as per terms and conditions of tender document.

The work include supply installation testing and commissioning of electromagnetic lock and its integration with the installed fire alarm system so that in case of emergency operation, the doors can be operated from the station control room (SCR) as well as manually from the respective doors and a fire alarm will be generated on the FACP showing the location of the door operated. The Location for FACP is in SCR which is incorporated with Loop Cards, Motherboard card, Power Supply Card, etc.

  • The Work of SITC to be executed during Non-Revenue Hours. In Case of any loose part on account of contractor viz. Leaving tools and plants near track, or else , the contractor will be held responsible for any financial /Asset losses to DMRC and to be recovered from the Contractor.
  • After completion of work, joint handover with E&M, Operation & safety department to be done by contractor location/Station wise. In case of any ambiguity observed, the same is to be rectified/resolved by the contractor at its own cost.
  • Contractor will Install magnetic locks, various required fire modules, DC power supply, hooters, break glass type MCP along with Hammer and their junction box as per BOQ at the emergency exit doors/interfacing revenue-non revenue areas doors/firemen staircase doors and ACM-24AT push button card in Fire Alarm Control Panel as per BOQ.
  • Contractor will lay and ensure proper support to the cable as per BOQ, including all accessories like saddling, glanding & tagging etc. for providing the station UPS supply to the electromagnetic lock from the nearby Electrical/UPS room.
  • Contractor will lay and ensure proper support to the Fire Loop cable as per BOQ, including all accessories like saddling, glanding & tagging etc. for integration of the doors with Fire Alarm Control Panel from the nearby fire device.
  • All the necessary works like programming, logic zone equation/creation, zone creation and other relevant works (if any) at FACP for the above mentioned work will be in the scope of the contractor, in consultation with Engineer in-charge or representative of DMRC, authorised by engineer in charge and nothing will be paid extra.
  • The work will be carried out under the guidance of engineer in-charge or representative of DMRC, authorised by the engineer in charge.
  • After installation and integration with the proposed fire system with their accessories, the contractor shall carry out joint inspection/operation with DMRC engineer in-charge for each station/location.
