Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) proudly announces the commencement of commercial operations at the Kankaria East Metro station, marking another significant milestone in the east-west corridor of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project. Starting from March 5th, metro train services will be readily available at Kankaria East station, operating in accordance with the existing schedule.

Kankariya East Metro station, a pivotal node in the east-west corridor of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project, is now fully prepared to cater to passengers. Effective from March 5th, 2024, metro train services will be seamlessly accessible at Kankaria East station, aligning with the established operational timetable. Currently, Metro Train services operate in Ahmedabad from 6:20 AM to 10:00 PM, offering a flat 12-minute headway between 07:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Gujarat Metro rail project is being promoted with the objective of providing safe, fast and eco-friendly transportation services to the public at affordable rates while simultaneously reducing the congestion on the roads.
