The Concept of “One station one Product” has been announced by Union Government.
More details:
- The main objective of the concept is to make each railway station a promotional hub and showcase destination for a local product, thereby giving a major boost to local industries by providing enhanced livelihood and welfare of local artisans, potters, weavers/handloom weavers, Tribals, etc.
- The stations will act as a marketing channel in the form of an earmarked stall through which the local product distinct to the particular area will be sold.
- As part of the initiative which is aimed to promote a local product and sell their products. Accordingly, Hyderabad Division is inviting applications from the interested NGOs, Self-help groups, Govt. bodies and other societies promoting handloom products/handicrafts/ Sarees/ Textiles.
- The applicant is allowed to showcase/sell handloom products/ handicrafts/sarees/textiles of Pochampally at Kacheguda Railway station for a period of 15 days, starting from 24th April, 2022.
- Stall/Kiosk will be set up in the areas, which is easily accessible to boarding/alighting and also to transit passengers by passing through trains halting at station.
- Station entry authority (identity card to the vendors) will be given by station Manager to ensure no unauthorized entry clearly indicating name of the authorized vendor, address, product name and duration.
- A token of Rs.1000 will be charged for 15 days.
- The filled in applications need to be submitted/handed over to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division.
